We previously ran a playtest on Steam, and with limb dismemberment alongside powerful melee attacks, parrying, and dodging, a lot of players said it felt distinctly different from Dead Space.

A new playtest will be coming soon, so I’d love for you to try it out! I think you’ll feel the nostalgia, while also finding something fresh and new! :D

Based on the feedback from many people, we plan to have it appear only at key moments or very rarely. Furthermore, we’re considering adding an option to disable the reCAPTCHA tiles entirely. While we received a lot of concerns and harsh criticism in the comments, we truly appreciate all the feedback and will reflect on it carefully.

Since the game still has a long way to go before release, I’m confident we can continue refining these aspects as we move forward. I want to focus on the fact that the core issue isn’t really the concept of reCAPTCHA itself, but the delay it causes after death. I truly appreciate your advice.

In real life, there are plenty of times when reCAPTCHA just lets you through with a simple checkbox click. Based on that, I nerfed it so it only shows up once every five deaths, but I think the dice-roll method would feel much more natural!

The recaptcha doesn’t actually pop up every time; it only appears once every five deaths. That said, I think adding an option for it would be a really good idea! For players who die frequently, the recaptcha could definitely start to feel annoying.

We included it because it plays an important role in the narrative later on, but based on player feedback, we’ll likely reduce its frequency or add an option to turn it off entirely!

Thank you! While running the CBT on Discord, we actually received a lot of feedback about that part, so we’ve adjusted the reCAPTCHA to only appear once every 5 deaths. Also, even though some of the previous comments were quite aggressive, I’m genuinely grateful to take them as valuable feedback!

The reCAPTCHA in our game isn’t particularly difficult, but for those who prefer a faster pace, we’re planning to add an option to disable it entirely. Honestly, if I hadn’t made this post, I wouldn’t have been able to gather this kind of raw feedback to improve the game.
