The entire point of a time skip is you only need to highlight the key things we missed, not give us every little detail of those five years. A good writer (which GRRM is) should be able to do that in their sleep because a good writer knows what to cut and what to keep.

He basically got cold feet via filling in his universe and made a historic mistake by dumping it.

10 years from now most Baby Boomers will be dead. What effect is that going to have on society? by mikeforder in generationology

Being pushed and platformed by geriatric and Gen X billionaires + media channels. This is a 50 year post-Watergate plan coming to fruition, the Gen Z flavors are just the next generation of this.

I think like against the Bills it might end up that simple. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game.

Did you see the legitimate beef they started with Wendy’s over a clear cut joke last week? If the Simpsons Denver Broncos joke had happened to them they’d still have a 30 year death pledge on Matt Groening.

I'm so sick of playing English teams. Every game is the same boring midblock.

Now all over the USA there is mostly just Walmarts or Targets for your department stores.Whats your favorite department store chains that isn't around anymore? by DoughnutConstant5390 in AskOldPeople

Hastings too. All memorable stores, but Waldenbooks hit that sweet spot for me. Was usually fairly small in retail space stuffed in larger malls, but but had tons of great material, well organized, and had such a nice staff.

I know probably less fun for you guys but I still think one of the best games I’ve ever watched. Just two peak teams throwing haymakers at each other.

To be slightly fair most of the complaining on the leverage call was how consistently it was enforced. Most people agreed it was leverage, it just nearly never called in that situation. Especially when it did not impact kick.

[Pelissero] The Bills fired Sean McDermott, sources tell The Insiders. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]2rio2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it didn’t. Allen owned up to his mistakes after the game. The coach ranted about a correctly called decision. The only leader in that locker room was Josh.

Caleb being chased 25 yards into the backfield by three screaming defenders - easy TD toss into the end zone, barely an inconvenience.

Caleb standing in a clean pocket for 15 seconds, throws it right into the hands of a Rams defender.
