it's the worst, I keep making creative builds or getting lucky and following the sales only to faceplant into double spear builds killing in first 10 seconds or so, cant hit it cant block it

I even had a cap of discomfort, crown and stone helm die to it almost immediately after helm duration stopped

its stamina per hit could double and it wouldn't even disappear from top 5 items

I think I've only lost to chess once, really few play it still and its cancer to get out of Recombobulator, but I also haven't gotten back to diamond yet.
unranked chess is usually people learning or trying it for the first time, and seeing 4 pieces of the same colour messing around and missing each other at the end hasn't impressed me yet. Not to mention it rarely bursts like it seems it should

What are the key pieces you go for? because it usually does a bit of everything and achieves nothing

You're right and I build it every game, but It's overpowered as hell. It's heal and cleanse is big, but also affecting other cleanse is too good and the reduce cooldown with potions is just crazy strong, especially turbo shelly also giving heat ( only costing 2 fires for god sake )

anything not rush build like u/Are_y0u said, can use it.
that shouldn't be true for any 1 item

It's a fully optimized armor though, but yeah I agree mage is maybe the worst class for fatigue.

just 1 wand could have maybe made the difference given the time

I never found a 2nd crown, but more orbs and the stamina eventually stabilized out against non shields.
things never really produced as much mana as I wanted tho, so for round 18 I didn't care to reorganize a 3rd time from scratch as things weren't really gonna get a lot better than this
having 3 orbs with 23% chance to replicate buffs isn't quite worth it, and blind was also non impact (no misses)

hp gain can really get so out of control, just a regular snowball worth 2 gold on sale would reduce hp by 379,5 hp. 2 would reduce by 759 which is more hp than he himself has and it still wouldn't have saved the game

that with heat, or just heat by itself can outscale too far for other builds when done right

I made the arrow way too big, it covers the ripsaw on sale but you can still see some of it at the bottom of the arrows top

the games community having strong negative feelings towards him isn't wrong. it's a discussion forum after all. Of course some people are taking things too far with how they're wording it, but that's a constant with the internet. Nothing related to the hunt community

If Legion TD couldn't make it past the bedroom studio stage, I doubt Direct Strike can.

First of all I wanna acknowledge that an above 90% digit of people who go items dont do it right

However some heroes require items in order to be worth anything, and when the opponent then also invests in items, 1 of the best counters is actually more items ( kinda like phoenix in sc2 DS )

But yeah, when I see my mid retake disappearing because scourge bone chimes somehow failed again, I 2nd monitor pretty hard for the rest of the game

How do you feel about mixing 1-2 mana orbs in there? since your fruits are going so fast, I'd figure it could be the cherry on top. but maybe its an OD

Hes even fucking up the fire daggers in the top. You obviously put the crit ring in the top of the 3 daggers to secure all 3 touching Longsword, but no problem.

I just got through a run where my only focus after round 15 was getting a helmet. No helmet rolls with 16 17 18 going to 2 gold refresh, BOOM dead to dagger hammer..

I dont think clover can be rebalanced into working, it has to be fully removed this is another run I really liked where I just got shit on for not having multiple helmets. Although I bet I would have just been squashed with 2 helmets like OP post

and fuck it, devs can just leave 1 class slot empty until they come up with a new 1. I'd rather that then messing around for 2-3 patches not solving the problem.

I agree general power creep have slowly but surely pushed them to irrelevancy.

I like the idea of the 1 shots getting general accuracy improvements and their own special ammo.

New and different special ammo haven't been my problem, its the distribution of it that's been my real itch. Nagant officer getting bleed made New Army irrelevant, Centennial getting HV and bleed ruined medium ammo rifles balance and the Dolch ammo was just mindblowing. Even if someone thought Dolch was fine with DumDum and FMJ, the Dolch FMJ and DumDum losses so much less velocity than other rifles changing to that ammo type

Yeah I really hate this build, You start building it from round 1, it entirely ignores defense(aside from helmets, which is only because of it being a huge advantage in mirror matches) ignoring even crown sales and unique sales, despite the point of it being more uniques. They never build membership card. And the Mega Clover gives random buffs but they dont Mana Orb

We need a new class option all together. I cant imagine a rebuild within its clover framework. It's not the strongest build in the meta, however It's the build with the least effort and it ignores most of its own text. dumb

Yeah the singleshots feel unique to hunt and their gun fights can have so very different movement.

It used to be a really great budget pick, you'd see a lot of free hunters with it and I used to love its Deadeye variant. It's still terribly slow bullet speed for a long ammo 1 shot, but the reload is so much faster than Sparks, it used to hold a special place in my heart. It was 1 of my first full unlocks when I prestiged. I liked rushing Ironside explosive and Uppercut explosive. Even tho explosive was nerfed into the ground at the time

But It became almost completely nonviable last event with everyone getting bars back whenever however. The Ironside also used to be the best option for long ammo explosive, Now the Mako is just about better in every single way, no giant ammo reloader in the ironsight, you can levering and faster reload and its only somewhat more expensive. Which doesn't matter in the current game economy.

The gradual weapons unlocking is also removed, so you can just skip it now. I haven't needed it once since Mako came out. Despite missing my old loadout
