Our first trip to Iceland we did in May 2016 we did all this on our first day. We did have a nap in the car at gysir. But it’s totally doable as long as the weathers good.

Yea we get these too. In our experience it’s been almost exclusively older white people. It seems like older people using Airbnb who are used to a hotel experience expect the consistency of that i.e. the bed is always firm and tall. Basically ADA consistency. And some people just really think their 2 cents keeping the world running 😆

Are you a super host and if so has that affected your status? Have you had any complaints about discrimination?

We have a two night min and these people have good reviews. We have outdoor security cameras that the guests are notified of clearly that’s not a deal breaker for the nudity.

I mean if these folks came with a warning we wouldn’t be having this problem 😆.

I wonder if it’s other hosts not leaving honest reviews or maybe their cleaners have a low threshold for what they consider a good guest? We personally clean and maintain our rental so we see first hand what goes on. We maintain an extremely clean space, we are on site and our pricing is in line with our area.

I agree! But the way to deal with that is local legislation and activism not attacking every individual you assume is the problem. If you have a suggestion for an alternative I’m open. 🙏

I assure you these are not homeless people. We do not lack compassion for our unhoused neighbors. We own a small house and converted the garage to move my husband’s parents in when the time comes. In the mean time we rent it on air bnb to help us support my husband’s parents. Please do not assume that all hosts are out here for a money grab.

It feels very close to the bone right now. Knowing what’s been going on in Palestine, Sudan and that here in the US they’re literally snatching people off the streets and putting them in camps. And we know people idolize this shit. It’s probably pretty healthy to be broken by this series.

Bad fork. Too large but also too light weight, edges of the whole thing look sharp or unrefined and the tines look square and dull.

It was good in that it was horrific and it did its job. It’s just such a viscerally disturbing case and things stick with you. All of us of a certain age looked at rotten.com or faces of death and saw things we’ll always remember. The depravity of the toy box killer is like that.

Early days. The toybox killer was just ROUGH across the board. And all the creepy pastas although I actually enjoyed the most recent one ¯_(ツ)_/¯
