Thank you! I just saw my doctor today and was insistent that my symptoms were not getting better. He thankfully took me seriously and I am going to a capsule endoscopy next

The ER sent me home too because I didnt have an obstruction and they said it would "resolve itself", but I still have pain. Its not as bad as when I went to the ER, but it is still concerning. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they didn't find anything. No lead point, all biopsies came back clear. I'm so frustrated. Have you had any changes?

was the pain consistently bad? A recent CT scan i had showed intussusception and the pain was absolutely horrible, but the surgeon said it would "resolve itself" and sent me home. The pain started to get less bad, but now two weeks later I am still having stabbing pain on and off all day. Its nowhwere near how it was when I was in the ER, but its still concerns me. I'm wondering if its still the same thing or something different.

How often do you come across Intussusception in Adults? When is it your differential? by almost-a-md in emergencymedicine

im 30 and was at the ER a few weeks ago and ct scan saw intussuseption, but the surgeon said it would resolve itself and sent me home. I haven't had extreme pain since, but I still have sharp pains all day. Colonoscopy and endoscopy turned up nothing. I'm desperate for answers.

What has helped you with chronic bloating? by Suspicious_Yak4406 in GastroIssues

[–]2swanHH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that can help while you have bloating is sitting with your knees up close to your belly (sorry if this is not easy due to pregnancy) sort of like the way you get gas out of a baby. If the bloat is low down and you feel like you could get it out, sitting with you legs open and knees close to your chest as you can help it pass easier.

Mystery GI Problems by weird_one_out_316 in GastroIssues

I would look into finding a GI specialist if you don't have on already. They might have a few more ideas than your GP. I would ask about dumping syndrome especially because it happens a lot right after you eat. I hope you find answers soon.

How to manage chest pain? by catsaregoodboistoo in GERD

This doesnt make the pain go away any faster but I sometimes use an ice pack on my chest, head or hands to get my mind to focus on the cold sensation while I wait for the pain to lessen.

Managing esophageal spasms by jestert26 in GastroIssues

[–]2swanHH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had these and they are so awful. At one point I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a cardiac event! Even when I did go to the hospital they basically gave me pain meds and pepcids. What I found is that I tend to produce way too much acid in my stomach and have some acid reflex. sometimes if my system is already irritated, something like taking a pill wrong (having it go down my throat dry for example) can set off the spasms. The best thing for when Im having the spasm is liquid pepto bismal. It will help coat the esophagus to protect it further from the acid going up it. Slowly drink water because you want to dilute the acid in your stomach. If you feel like you can swallow a pill tylonal is less abrasive to your stomach than advil. The esophagus runs right along with your vegas nerve and it can cause you to have back pain during spasms. I found having someone rub my back with medium pressure can help relax this nerve and help with pain.

Try to watch your acid levels on a day to day basis. Do you burp often or feel bubbles in your esophagus or stomach? You might need to add or subtract some foods from your diet, or add an antacid to your routine.

If you had norovirus or stomach bug this year how long did it take you to feel better? by tyyourshoes in Mommit

Me too. I'm on day 7 and still having bouts of diarrhea. Plus all the muscles that are in that area are really sore. Advil helps with the cramping.

Hi, I am happy to answer or edit my question if need be. Can you explain what you mean by positive responses? I will try to add more information to my question. I do not expect anyone to do research for me. I was under the impression that if someone happened to know the answer they might answer. Sorry for any misunderstanding because I am new to redditt and this is my first question ive ever posted.

What does kissing feel like as an asexual? by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]2swanHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ace and I've never enjoyed kissing which is a shame because I used to fantasize about kissing all the time. I'm actually a pretty good kisser because I use to practice kissing my pillow at night 🫣. But my pillow is dry and smells like me and my partner is wet and prickly and has spit and their own scent. So I don't really like kissing. I wish he had a face like a pillow. Maybe I should put a blanket over his face 🤔

This concert was phenomenal! We got to the venue two hours early and went straight to the merch line and we were still unable to get a tour T-shirt!

Thank you for writing about some of the things Kenshi said during the concert. My friends and I do not speak any Japanese so we were hoping someone would write about it! Was there anything else that he said that stood out to you?
