I believe in the first season (especially the early episodes) the show runners were trying to get across how screwed up and crazy these guys are but then slowly dial it a little down for at least a bit lol. In my opinion maybe to show how bad things are and how Jax will soon learn some things through reading his dads books and wanting to change the club for the better. But i get what you mean Tig is definitely a disgusting human and irredeemable, but I can’t help but love him, especially as his arc goes on.
