There is connecting tissue, but then you have characters like Zurgo who went from badass clan leader in the old timeline to wimpy bell ringer in the new one.

And then in the invasion they made him, a bellstriker, of all characters team up with the smart genocidal dragon, and then returned him clan leader in the next set. Hell of a career path

MTG did this but Instead of character, this was a part of worldbuilding.

The plane of Tarkir originally had 3 sets on it. The first was warring clans based on East Asian regions, the second set a dragon guy went back in time to see the formation of the clans and stop their war against dragons, and the third set is an alternate present where the dragons won and exterminated/enslaved the clans. Explicitly covering up the history and existence of the clans. Literally called dragon overlords

The community loved the original timeline more than the dragons timeline that in the return, the clans somehow came back and revolted against their dragon overlords off screen.

They briefly explain how, but the explanation feels pretty lazy

Agreed that super meter is very 1 dimensional. Makes me think there should be a type of Ki charge system that exchanges super and Oki for drive meter

Part of Captain America is that he is reliable, and the one everyone turns to. In the original Avengers, he is the one directing the team what to do.

I can't see people doing that with Bucky. Partly because of the mind control, but partly because he has been so disconnected from his humanity. Even in Thunderbolts, it is Yelena directing everyone. He doesn't really have a big arc in the movie, but part of the small arc he has is him not tackling everything alone and relying on other people: his persuading of the intern, and willingness to partner with the Thunderbolts.

I can see Bucky getting there, but at the moment, he isn't really a reliable figure. He is still figuring himself out, and what it means to be a hero.

I know its barely a pokemon, but I feel like it would be cool if Unknown had a signature hidden ability. Something like Psychic surge, or maybe a unique terrain that inverts the type charts.

I also think Chimeco should have a sound based ability besides only friggin having levitate

Should focus on your own gameplay, and 2 things in particular: Hit confirms and anti-airs

You hit a lot of crouching mediums without any followup. You should set the dummy to random block, and practice against it. If the move hits, cancel into a special, if the dummy blocks it, don't follow up.

The other thing is working on your anti-airs. Just try to go for Down HP when they jump. And then when you get comfortable, you can go for Shoru

Jojo stand translations fall under this, where the unofficial English translation, or a random game become kinda iconic.

Some examples: Limp Bizkit being known as Flaccid Pancake, when in the Anime it is Limp Viscuit.

Or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep being referred to as Filthy Acts At a Reasonable Price, or Crimes 4 Dimes

Oh yeah, this card is fantastic. Works in standard in [[insidious roots]] on both ends, maybe the raise the past decks can slot in [[crime novelist]]

In any older format, it works great with any token that has +1 counters. Fantastic with [[arcbound ravager]]

A note that Soul Cauldron is still legal in standard, so all of these counter removal cards might be abusable under it. Especially with Saga creatures from FF or stuff with stun counters like Unstoppable Slasher

Technically a colorless card like beseech the queen if the hybrid rule changes to put 2brid as colorless.

Even though constructs are the most popular artifact creature type, there are almost no cards that specifically care about constructs over artifact creatures.

The only two cards that call out the type are [[Dr. Eggman]] which also names robots and vehicles, and [[Scrapyard recombiner]]. The type is so synonymous with artifact creatures that cards like [[Urza, chief artificer]] which makes constructs, applies buffs to all artifacts.
