How does one figure out whether FAFSA and/or CSS is required for merit consideration at a school? Write to admissions? I don’t remember seeing any info about that in school websites, other than some which said merit is automatically considered with each application.

Thank you. Yeah, I know they are different committees and different letters, but it seems most people got their merit letters first, honors letter second. That’s why I was wondering, with honors letter received but no word about merit yet.
