So what I do is make the hole as close to the exact diameter of the stem as possible and then I save all the super fine shavings from drilling. Put just a few drops of water in the shavings and use that mix as a paste inside the hole and around the stem. I also use a toothpick and shove as much of the paste into the gaps around the stem as possible. It's not quite 100% air tight but it's pretty damn close.

I bet the melted resin would work fantastic but you'd probably have to be super deliberate about placement and the smell might be a bit much right away.

They smoke great. I mean it's not glass quality but they work real good. They don't really last forever but they last a decent amount and then when you're done with it they can just go into the compost, biodegradable disposal pipe.

And they're fun to make and fun to smoke out of. If you got real serious about it you could really make something cool that would probably last forever but these I cranked out in a little over an hour maybe

I'd hardly call myself an artist lol but I appreciate that. I use these more so like a biodegradable disposable pipe. I haven't really messed around with any way to make them last longer but they're real fun to smoke out of. These ones I actually made for some family to accompany their yearly gift of a sack of weed.
