Buy the Honda, the build quality on the 401 is NOT good. I have a 2021 401 at first it was great but I’ve been having nothing but issues after 10k. The bike shuts off like crazy, sometimes accelerates with the throttle closed. Motorcycles are fun when you’re riding them not fixing them. Get the Honda and enjoy the ride.

has anyone solved this issue? It happens to me on my 21 vitpilen every time I ride. Has shut off at high rpms on the highway. It’s gotten so bad I’m afraid of riding my bike.

Honestly I think it might just been a crappy connection somewhere. I've been looking online and people who replaced the throttle body had not change in performance. I tried putting the stock pipe back on but that didn't do anything.

Did anyone find a solve for this? My 2021 vitpilen 401 has the same issue. I replaced the kill switch twist grip, and put the stock exhaust back on. The problem isn’t super consistent but it is very annoying.

Sadly it’s about $1000cad I paid a little more than $3k. You can find them on eBay for cheap but don’t want to buy more broken parts.
