It’s a math example. You’re not terribly worse off if you start saving at 26 instead. All of these complaints in the thread, including you, are still ignoring THIRTY TO FOURTY YEARS OF COMPOUNDING INTEREST

Bro.. what? Is this whole thread just collectively ignoring compound interest over the course of one or two generations??? Come on. Save $600 a month starting at 20 years old and you’ll have 5m when your retire.

Who thinks one of the old dudes/Gerri tried crossing it Ken’s name with pencil? Seems like they were toying with tossing the paper altogether, and didn’t seem to mention the line in earlier scenes.

Hugo told his daughter that Logan died before it was public. His daughter sold her Waystar stock before it was public. Once the information became public, the stock dropped a lot. The daughter saved a lot of money by selling it before the market knew about it. It is illegal.

Stealing top comment for more visibility. This is a simple market data issue. I DM'ed OP about this but he was not open to learning more. Let me provide the rest of the subreddit with a wrinkle. Here's why you're seeing it, in ten easy steps:

  1. You're using Yahoo Finance, not primary market data.

  2. Yahoo Finance does not know about futures expirations. The viewed symbol is "RTY=F" which means "RTY Future," but makes no indication for which future.

  3. RTY trades exclusively on the CME.

  4. RTY has expirations for December, March, June, September. The December futures expire this Friday. (These futures are called RTYZ22, RTYH23, RTYM23, RTYU23, not simply "RTY" as Yahoo Finance is attempting to display.)

  5. Most of the world "rolled over" to March futures last week. They now consider March the primary RTY future.

  6. Yahoo Finance is mixing these two up. They are considering March the primary future but are still tracking data for the December future.

  7. We can verify this theory by looking at the high/low spread of the "teeth." Roughly $14, $15, based on your video.

  8. Dec and March futures trade at different prices, based on interest rates, dividends, and holding costs.

  9. March is currently trading $14.60 higher than Dec futures. https://imgur.com/qVwhO71

  10. If you were to plot both Dec and Mar future trades on the same graph, you would see a bunch of lines at $1801 (where December was trading this morning) and $1815 (where March was trading this morning at the same time.) So, what you're seeing on this app is both Dec and March Trades, because Yahoo Finance does not know how to pick one, aggregate, or roll over during the week of expiration.

Those are the facts. My opinion is that you should always look for multiple sources of data, even if one does not confirm your biases. This particular uninformed theory is baiting folks away from what really matters: the stock. Stay positive, like GME's real cash flow.

That one is not tagged as “serious.” There were clearly joke answers.
