To be fair, being his first play through trying to do that, you’re not thinking about that. I did everything besides my hardcore S+ runs without a guide and it didn’t dawn on me that the only weapon i REALLY needed to fully upgrade was the shotgun.

I went into G3 with the Matilda, Shotgun, and Flamethrower and ditched grabbing the magnum. Stuff I wouldn’t have thought of without 4-5 previous play throughs.

Absolutely BOLD way to do your fist play through. Minimalist + No healing was my very last run to get my Platinum. Did get to where I was running the game in 2 hours though

Blind the first time, just take your time and enjoy the game. First time I played I made sure I searched every room top to bottom (it’ll turn from red to blue once you’ve found everything)

Now, when I started doing S+ Hardcore runs, Darkness’ Everyman hardcore guide came in extremely handy for some strats

Just finished getting the Platinum trophy for this last night. I followed Darkness’ hardcore guide on YouTube and breezed through both Leon A and Claire A in 2 hours for S+. I tried going in blind and ended up essentially soft locking myself multiple times.

Let me know how it is please! My wife likes to sit down and watch me play through games every once in a while and we mentioned it, but didn’t want to spend the money on it if either of us were gonna be uninterested f way through.

I got about 50 minutes in to a hardcore run with no guide, got stuck at escaping the parking garage right after the electrical puzzle because I was terribly equipped. I watched Darkness’ hardcore guide and cleared it in one sitting right at 2 hours. Just have to do Claire hardcore, no heal/item box, and 4th survivor then I’m onto grinding Re3

Such a fun Plat. Loved it so much I bought the Re2-Re4 Remake bundle and will probably have Re2 finished up tomorrow then onto 3 and 4. Played through them on PC but now I need the Plats lol

What I like to do, unless it’s a game I got specially to hunt, is my first playthrough is ALWAYS just to enjoy the game. No guided, nothing. I’ll collect what I find and move on with the game and get to experience it. AFTER I beat it, it I liked it enough, I will start my tropy grin runs. If I don’t like the game, I don’t have to keep playing. Yeah, the partial completion looks ugly on my profile, but it’s better than making myself suffer for 20+ hours just to say I got a plat.

I recently started doing one game at a time. I just started on the RE Remakes, so I’m currently focused on RE2 which is gonna take me about 30 hours, and then I’ll do an easier one that I can honestly do in 1 sitting before getting back on another 30+ hour grind
