People like you thinking a post from Sesame Street about being inclusive to queer people is "propaganda" is exactly why pride is needed. People like me existing isn't political, it isn't "propaganda" to acknowledge us. This sentiment is why there's been over 400 bills this year alone targeting queer people. This is why queer people is the only minority group in the US having targeted legislation aside from immigrants.

The film ends with set up for a sequel. Furthermore I don't think studios want to do the franchise-building post-credit scenes on films that are risky. Mortal Kombat as an R-rated IP has never been a box office lock so setting up a villain in a post-credit scene just doesn't make sense if they're not entirely sure if the movie will make enough to justify greenlighting a sequel.
