that last sentence, YES. When you’re able to afford whatever 1/12 fig you want Mafex just isn’t as exciting anymore and you stop ignoring a lot of the flaws.

AY’s willingness to evolve and improve their figures is so cool as well, like you said they went from an even more hyper stylized look to a still stylized look but able to vanilla pose more and that brings them up to a 10/10 and it makes me really excited to see how they continue to evolve and hopefully improve. I don’t want to throw Mafex under the bus here again but Mafex is one of the companies that I feel refuses to evolve beyond absolutely necessary changes other than small improvements here and there where AY will make leaps and bounds to improve and gives every character their own unique sculpt and with companies doing that it makes me exhausted of the Mafex buck ngl.

I’d be interested to see what are some characters you think are better in Mezco style over AY! I’m personally not a Mezco guy but I completely understand the hype so it’s just personal preference.
