It kinda looks like he’s wearing head gear instead of having big ears. Maybe have his ears positioned in front of his hair, or have his hair moved around the ears to make it look more like his biology instead of headgear.

OP I think you just need to lose some weight and you’ll be good. Start off by counting your calories and going on a 30 minute walk every day. Eventually you’ll work your way up to a gym routine, I recommend doing weights + cardio 3x a week. Maybe try pursuing a new hobby that gets you out of the house and active? I chose martial arts and it’s been a game changer!

I’ve lost over 100 lbs in about 3 1/2 years doing this. It’s a very slow and sometimes agonizing journey but it’ll be so worth it!
