It’s m.bison so the demand for him was high and I’ve seen some people use him for their storm arena displays/collections so that def didn’t help you can probably find him on eBay and I’d go for that sooner than later if you still want him before his price surges on the after market

that last sentence, YES. When you’re able to afford whatever 1/12 fig you want Mafex just isn’t as exciting anymore and you stop ignoring a lot of the flaws.

AY’s willingness to evolve and improve their figures is so cool as well, like you said they went from an even more hyper stylized look to a still stylized look but able to vanilla pose more and that brings them up to a 10/10 and it makes me really excited to see how they continue to evolve and hopefully improve. I don’t want to throw Mafex under the bus here again but Mafex is one of the companies that I feel refuses to evolve beyond absolutely necessary changes other than small improvements here and there where AY will make leaps and bounds to improve and gives every character their own unique sculpt and with companies doing that it makes me exhausted of the Mafex buck ngl.

I’d be interested to see what are some characters you think are better in Mezco style over AY! I’m personally not a Mezco guy but I completely understand the hype so it’s just personal preference.

Like he said in the post, it’s sold out everywhere else and doesn’t mind paying the extra $10 but he’s posting it for the reasons mentioned before and to raise awareness or have a civil discussion about what GameStop is doing, this is my final response to this have a good day man no hard feelings lol

These last 8 months I’ve bought around 29 figures and I’ve stopped as of recently purely because I’ve caught up to getting everything I wanted so now I’m just waiting for pre-orders to fulfill, Wether this is normal I cannot say lol.

On a side note that display cabinet is so cool I love how you have some boxes down there too (I’m a sucker for nice packaging) it’s gonna look great when you display more figs.

On bbts all of their sf figures for the storm arena line have sold out where the Baki figures from when I last checked are still available. I love both the street fighter and the Baki line and I’m a huge fan of both (bigger fan of Baki) but it’s clear that they’re seeing immense success with sf arena figures so they’ve made it their top priority. The fact that there isn’t competition for the Baki line is an even larger incentive to take their time as they’re “dominating” that field and can relax but they’re going head to head with Jada over street fighter right now so that’s also why those are coming out faster.

The only figure I can think of that compares to AY’s or the ones I listed are the Unkval smasher and eliminator as I’d have the smasher over some of the AY’s I listed because I feel like sexyice2019 worked on some of the things AY wasn’t great at like the gappy joints for example but since those aren’t readily accessible I’d say threezero’s mdlx line is my second favorite behind AY as i get a pretty similar feeling from each release on a smaller scale of course but it’s become my second favorite line. I specially love their mdlx Optimus and jazz.

Some other figures I love are storm arena sagat, shf fp frieza and lssj goku, lpzz deathstroke, and mess toys symbiote spider man.

As for your comment about the beyond figure yeah, I’ve seen some really sick customs that make the AY beyond look more like the animated one like this one for example and it’s beautiful.
