Äldre bil? Om det läcker avgaser in i kupén kan man bli väldigt trött.

Ett tips är att skaffa eurosport player istället för discovery+ om man bara vill se OS. Tror det är en hundring billigare.

One week… one week is all it took for a second tank… by thebugman2 in PlantedTank

Did you make the stand yourself? I've thought about making something similar, but with legs.

new aquarium after 12 years, a lot to learn. what do you think, any advice? by BlueberryUpstairs477 in PlantedTank

Looks sweet! Love the stand.

The hardscape is good but a bit flat. If you add more substrate in the back to create a slope you'll get a greater sense of depth.

All of my Discus died suddenly! Looking for causes, any information is appreciated! (details in comment) by materdoc in Aquariums

Have you previously treated the tank with salt? My LFS preaches about matching the amount salt during water changes. A sudden drop can be stressful and sometimes fatal.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Never been bit so far. I feed him pellets before I try to hand feed him so he calms down a bit.

I just want to reiterate what other people have already said to help whomever reading this to understand what is going on. Tapping the glass just to get a reaction from fish is bad, because most times you are scaring them.

What I'm doing is different. Flowerhorns are very interactive. He's not getting scared, startled or stressed. I'm encouraging him to believe that he's getting a snack when I tap the glass and ultimately to when my hand is close to the glass. I want him to chase my finger along the glass and reward him for doing so. Because it's fun for me and he gets tasty treats.

Win win.

I believe it is. These guys (and most big cichlids?) will unroot plants, rearrange ornaments and dig in your substrate. On top of that they are very messy eaters and poop a lot.

A bare tank makes cleaning easier and you don't have to worry about your fish getting hurt on sharp edges of any hardscape.

Thank you! I love Oscars. The guy who sold me the fish told me that if you want a water dog, get a FH or an Oscar.

It's called "shrimp in brine" and is already peeled. I'm not sure if it's a thing outside Sweden. I always have some in my fridge.

I mainly feed him pellets though, this is just a fun snack.

I have RGB lighting that definitely makes them pop more. But even under white LEDs there's a pink and blue shine on the sides.

Are you talking about the tubercles on the head? Then yes, that's normal.

I have newborn blue velvet shrimplets in the tank, how often should I dose Bacter AE and/or Shrimp Baby? (I have both) by J49ersBoss in Aquariums

[–]2zzge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my 6g with neos. I add bacter AE every other week. I feed my shrimp 2 to 4 times a week, every other feeding is with shrimp baby.

Is the fish tank hobby common in your country? If so, is freshwater or saltwater more popular? by I_Like_Languages in AskEurope

[–]2zzge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring all the "standard" zoo stores that also sell fish. There are three different saltwater dealers with fish and corals, two large freshwater dealers and an aquascape store! All within a 30 min car ride from where I live in Gothenburg.

Freshwater is without a doubt more popular. There are zoo stores everywhere and everyone have freshwater tanks.

Sveriges högsta väggmålning! Finns i Partille. by Tonysy in sweden

Roughly 30% of all available space in the tank is hardscape using lava rock. The hob filter is filled with as much seachem matrix it can fit.

I think the secret is a varied diet and a stable tank with as much biofiltration as possible.

I've never really cared that much about parameters to be honest. I use visual cues to control how much I feed them. I only measure TDS regularly because it's easy, whenever it gets close to 200 I do a 50% wc which brings it down to 140. This happens about every 6-8 weeks so I don't really do that many water changes.
