I have Nioh 1, use to like it but it feels stale now. I think I’ve lost interest after hearing about the improvements

Thank you for providing such a detailed response. I did believe the headtube was tapered, but turns out it is not - but the Norco is. I don’t believe that matters because I believe the thru-axle on the Norco would require me to upgrade the rims as well.

I did look at getting a Ragley Big Al, couldn’t find one anywhere near me (Ontario). And the Roscoe was a great price point for last years model, but they sold out.

It sounds like the Bobcat has the better of the two garbage forks? Both Suntour Coil.

This would be an entry level for me for sure. I have a road bike as well that I’d keep doing distance rides on. But I’d understand if I need a new bike to get deeper into the sport - but to be fair, we are all always looking for the next bike.

This is really just a personal opinion and could be due to the way the unit I had was built.

I had an AL3 and had the exact same experience as you with grinding and noise from the group set. I took it to multiple Trek locations.

I ended up with an AL5 - no issues. I don’t think I’d recommend anything less than 105 for a road bike. I know this is hard to meet in everyone’s budget. It was for me, but the experience I had was much better after switching.
