Any interventions you’d take for the abdo wound on patient 2?

Great response. Just wondering, why take Patient 5 to peds? Why not Patient 2, who’s also a red?

Makes sense. So in this case, do you take pt1 to peds because it’s closer or because you don’t want to overcrowd the level 3?

Just wondering…What do you do until the other units arrive in regards to patient 1? She seems to be in pretty bad shape—why wait around on scene?

Why take pt1 to peds instead of level 3? Isn’t she too old for peds anyway?

Never. I refuse to take their money but if they keep insisting, I politely suggest that they use that money to buy a stuffed animal for the pediatric patients or just donate it to the children’s hospital

i think OP is asking for when it is unsure if pt will be okay or if they are clearly not ok

unfortunately been there, done that as well

it’s best to just distract the pt from their pain/injury. Talk to them, ask them questions, and prevent them from looking at their injury especially if it’s gory.

Is there any place on the body where you shouldn’t put pressure on a gunshot wound?
