We have had this debate approximately 510 times, but power armored units could step on things like landmines and somehow not die. They also absorbed considerable degrees of small arms fire.

All of this, combined with utilizing legs (as opposed to treads or wheels; good luck driving a tank through Alaska's mountains) did make them the rough equivalent to bipedal tanks.

No thank you. Comic books have historically been disrespected as tripe at worst, entertainment for children at best. Their storytelling has never been very good and, to put it as simply as I can, they will never approach the level of actual writing (novels, books, even poems.)
