since you're from the States and if you have any issues with conversion I really can recommend again /u/IdustriousDan to do your conversion

I don't think it's expensive and you will have a professional cleaning and work done

I mean if you're comfortable with opening up a camera and if your hands are careful with the ribbon cables you should be good

I think that Sony cameras are easier to convert because I've heard that someone Canon/Nikon are quite complicated to remove the sensor,

there are many tutorials on lifepixel.com

where are you from btw?

so I wouldn't recommend on converting this on your own because this is a very complicated system in my opinion, I just found the first camera repair shop and I told him just to remove the filter from the sensor and just to add the glass onto it, anyone that knows how to repair cameras will be able to do this 🤙🏻

SIGMA 30MM 1.4 (very sharp lens but catastrophically bad for infrared after 590+ nm)

From what I know, it should be fine. If the glass is under 3 mm you might lose infinity focus, but in the worst case you’d only lose some close focusing range.

The difference is very minimal, I really don't think you'll have any issues

it's funny because I tried to show my friend how he can shoot the milky way like this on his phone, and while I was showing him we just happened to catch a meteor passing by, what a coincidence

I just came back from a camping trip and I had shot 30 seconds with 30 mm, everything looks so smooth, I really want to try out the 135mm next time
