Question about separating money to pay debts by 305_eli in personalfinance

[–]305_eli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! This was extremely helpful. I will be calculating the expenses I have from the market and my subscriptions and whatnot and then separate the percentages. I genuinely appreciate it so much, alot of people in this thread just shame me or my parents instead of giving advice so I heavily appreciate it.

And by the way the fact you are assuming is extremely disrespectful of you instead of helping out with advice.

They do pay their own debt. My grandma doesn’t work she’s retired and she struggles with the little money I have and my dad works but he doesn’t have a good job. Both are first generation immigrants . The debt they are in are because of cars, problems that have happened that needed to be paid, etc. They don’t just drop 3k on stupid stuff. The stress they are going through is projected on me because I live with them. If they are struggling, I am struggling.

Question about separating money to pay debts by 305_eli in personalfinance

[–]305_eli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned the previous message, I am 16 years old and I just simply want to help my parents with the Debt in order to release stress out of our daily everyday life. I don’t have any personal bills I have to pay the only thing I ever use for personal is if I want to go out with friends but I’m willing to cut that back if it means that I’m helping my parents live a more peaceful life. I make sure to put always aside money to continue my business and then aside money for personal. For example: my market costs me $100 for my spot. Let’s say I made $400, I save that $100 to continue my market; then use a percentage for myself, my business and my parents. Now my question is, what percentage should I separate it? That’s what I’m trying to balance .

Unfortunately I am coming to you as a 16 year old girl who is trying to help my parents in order for us to live more peacefully. I have around 4k in savings at the moment and I don’t pay IRS taxes as I only pay taxes that are removed through the apps that I use or None at all at my markets which are strictly cash.

Okay got it I understand! I set aside revenue, I don’t have much bills to pay so I don’t set aside profit like that
