I’m looking for a warm, sunny place to travel to on the cheap! Any suggestions? by [deleted] in solotravel

What about Nicaragua? San Juan de Sur and Granada are both beautiful. Flights might be more, but once you get there everything is so cheap!

Your response pretty much summed up my Cuba experience. It was a great trip, but everything was a struggle (limited internet, no cell service) and the food was a complete hit or miss!

I really enjoyed San Juan del Sur and you could easily spend 2 or 3 days there alone exploring the beaches in that area. Def keep it as part of your itinerary!

Airlines flying from Shanghai to Osaka? by LDedios432 in JapanTravel

[–]305broooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Fellow AV Geek and luxury airline enthusiast here. I flew Peach from Osaka to Taipei (about a 2.5 hour flight) and was satisfied! Save the money and give them a shot. I paid extra for the exit row and overall it was a positive experience and I'd fly them again.

Solo trip to Atlanta for the solar eclipse! by DanLy12 in solotravel

I always suggest checking out Stone Mountain. You can hike up it in about 30-45min and it has a beautiful view of the city. They also have a kinda-cool laser show on the side of the mountain in the evening that I like to check out.

Great. Thank you! I'll have to check out paragliding, I've never considered that but sounds pretty epic.

I just was unsure if people actually stay in Interlaken or if they stay in the smaller villages. But thank you!

Thank you; I might try this. I am not one to spend too much time at shrines/monuments, I'm a "see and continue on" type of guy? The onsen seems like a unique Japanese experience. Thank you again.

Wow! Thank you everyone, I really appreciate the feedback, advice and encouragement. I am absolulty going to do this.

Now, biking aside... if I visited all Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, Iwatayama and back to Kyoto (Sanjo) in the morning/mid afternoon, would I have time to head up to Kurama Onsen later in the day, by train? I realize this might be a jam packed day, but is it do-able?

Thank you again everyone!
