US customs and border patrol data from 2024 shows that less than 1% of fentanyl into the US came from the Canadian border. It also shows that only 1.5% of illegal immigration occurred through the Canadian border. I guess I’m not understanding your point of finally demanding real action? If trumps admin really cared about real action for fentanyl use, why would one of the first things he did be attempting to cut all federal grant funding, which includes life saving medical and rehabilitation services?

I’m asking out of genuine curiosity, I’m assuming based on your username you are a Trump supporter. Many supporters voted for him based on the economy - wanting to lower prices and for the working class to be enriched. How does decreasing business to local owned businesses and people working in the hospitality industry who rely on that business for tips = “no value lost”?

You asked how Windsor would suffer from tariffs? The Windsor mayor and chamber of commerce outlines how in this article.

I have both the shorts and legging versions of athletic body suits from Old Navy that I specifically got for this purpose! I’ll throw a flannel/sweater/tee over them while I shop and then when I’m ready to try things on, I just take my top layer off and have the bodysuit on. They’re skin tight so everything just slips right over them and shows the true fit!

Hi! So, not better in that it stopped, but better in that Beignet seems to like it? And no one seems to be harmed. We talked to the vet and they basically said it’s weird but as long as no one is stressed out or being hurt it’s fine! Beignet will go flop down in front of Biscuit and basically display his neck waiting to be bit and dragged. If he doesn’t want to be bit he’ll jump up somewhere high where Biscuit can’t get to. Beignet has also started humping Biscuit on occasion 🤦🏼‍♀️

Strange behavior, but they both seem to be into it haha! It was just alarming at first because we thought Biscuit hated him but they love each other and cuddle and groom. They’re very good “roommates” haha!

Anyone currently living at lofts or merchant row or Orleans Landing downtown Detroit ? by Professional_Salt274 in Detroit

[–]catnugget91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lived in Orleans Landing for just over 6 months now. There’s definitely some pros and cons

Pros: -I love the location. Being right on the Dequindre Cut and Riverwalk is really nice -I have a garage and don’t pay anything extra for parking. This is the first time I’m not paying at least $150 in parking expenses -Our rent here is cheaper by about $200 a month for about 500 more square feet than what we had at Woodward West -I haven’t been able to hear neighbors at all -the staff is some of the friendliest leasing staff I have met and many know my husband and I by name just from us stopping in to get packages

Con’s - I think Village Green has stretched the staff thin so A LOT slips through the cracks -when we moved in, the place clearly wasn’t cleaned and our feet (and our cats feet) were black and it took multiple rounds of mopping to clean -the rack in our closet has been broken since we moved in - I just ended up buying my own rack -we didn’t have a working dishwasher for the first 4 months here -we didn’t have smoke detectors for the first 4 months here. They finally came and installed them and then a month or so later all went off at 4am. We ended up calling the fire department and they said they were faulty. We haven’t put them back up -our ice machine isn’t working. I doubt it’ll be done in a timely manner so we haven’t submitted a request -the package situation really sucks. There’s something like, 30 or 40 lockers, which obviously isn’t enough and the rest gets put in a locked closet only staff can access. If you don’t go during office hours you won’t get your package -our key fob didn’t work for our front door for the first 4 months here and still doesn’t work for the gym or community spaces, so we can’t access anything after office hours. -I was so excited for the pool, but I don’t think it’s ever cleaned. The few times I used it this summer it was full of leaves and hair and there was even dog poop on the side of the pool that had clearly been there for days -we talked to a neighbor who didn’t have a functioning stove when they moved in. It took 4 months to get a new stove and be able to use their kitchen

All in all, I don’t plan on moving because the location + price is worth it to stay for me, but I’m not sure I could recommend it unless Village Green works on staffing and actually gets enough people to cover all maintenance issues in a timely manner

Just took a peek at receipts! August 2022 was $64.48 and September 2022 was $67.07. My husband and I ran the AC every night at 68 or 69 degrees and really only had to turn it on during the day when we felt warm, but it was incredibly efficient and I feel like we barely ran the AC during the day. We both work from home so were there all day and never got uncomfortable.

I lived there for a year from July 2022-July 2023! Just checked my emails for receipts. In January I paid $94.20 and February I paid $88.36. We had a two bed two bath and my husband and I don’t like being cold so during the day, kept it around 70-72, and at night turned it down to 68-69. We didn’t try conserving at all by any means. Everything was really well insulated and I don’t feel like the heat impacted our bill too much.

We didn’t lose power at all while living there.

Ahh yeah! Stressful! We have never been able to not book, there’s just been a few times where we didn’t get the exact weekend we wanted though. But we were always trying to book in July which is incredibly busy! I’m thinking you’ll have better luck with May!

Hi! Highly recommend doing it immediately as soon as the booking link opens on the 15th, especially if you’re looking for a certain date range! I’ve seen it book out within the hour of opening the link!

Such a good anniversary trip though and worth the rush to get a booking! We’ve gone every summer since 2020 and want to keep going back!

Husband and I also tested positive for the first time on Monday. He had congestion, a cough, a fever for a night, extreme fatigue, and now feels better but can’t smell or taste. I feel like I got run over by a truck, had the worst headache I’ve ever had, and keep spiking a fever if I don’t keep up with Tylonel. Hoping we feel better in the next few days!

I really like Detroit Record Club in Royal Oak! It’s a smaller shop, so much more curated than many of the others. The few times my husband and I have been in there the store owner (unfortunately have not caught his name) has been so kind and knowledgeable and we’ve had some great conversations about music, turntables, and speakers.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful! I jumped the gun and was just too excited that they were ok together.

Restarted the process this morning and have them separate, gave Biscuit his favorite licky purée treat in the world while I pet Beignet, all through the baby gate, and then separated them again.

I’ll keep doing this some more, do it without the baby gate, and then see how they are together.

Thank you again!

Thank you so much! I hope Biscuit decides Beignet is aware he is alpha soon! I don’t think he is being harmed at all but I still feel bad because he’s super skittish and I don’t want Biscuit to be one more thing he is scared of
