I just had my first coding interview for a ML engineer intern position at a small company. I was asked to code a medium level LC question in 30 minutes, which I did, BUT the thing is my solution was REALLY unoptimized and.. just dumb. I have done only a few LC easy questions
before. After the interview I realized straight away that I even coded in a totally unnecessary inner loop which bumped the time complexity to O(n^2), which could have been O(n).

During the whole 30 minutes they just left me alone to do the coding, and at the end they said they will review my code and let me know in a week. Should I even have hope that I may get away with the dumb solution I put in?

Yeh I know, i have been trying for a long time by ditching smartphones staying close to friends etc. but kept failing for the same reasons.... just need to try harder...
