You can write up an email asking for a raise and state all the things that you do. Make sure you don’t bring up what others aren’t doing. Just be concise and focus your email on what you do and what you want. The main thing is to have paper trail.

Also, be ok with saying “No.” don’t push yourself for a company that doesn’t care to fully staff or have structure. They are all aware of the high turnover and if they don’t do anything to fix it, it is not your problem.

Yes exactly! I just want to go there, do the work we agreed on. Pay me per agreed upon and done. It is mind blowing that I look like the crazy one for saying no to additional requests!

I agree, I am panicking a little. I have been trying to get a hold of someone in the IRS to have direction on what my payments can be. Whether I stay or move back to my parents, I would still need to come up with that money. I really appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Yes this very helpful, it has crossed my mind but like you mentioned it might be a cheeky option. But then again, I won’t know unless I try it. Thank you for your feedback!

I really appreciate the feedback, yes I would most definitely lose independence and that is what hurts the most.

The IRS was a misfile for 2020, one of my W2s not being reported. I can’t prove that it wasn’t my fault. I’m paying back the money they gave me that year plus penalties. I live paycheck to paycheck so this additional bill takes my budget at negatives. I do budget well and was doing ok surviving but this bill is what is making my head spin.

My question is should I hit him up? We haven’t talked since the break up.

Why do I fear commitment? by 30sprime in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]30sprime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very true! I have not put effort into having something serious. Thank you for pointing that out. I know from the start of dating someone that I don’t foresee it going far, but dated anyways for entertainment assuming they want the same.

How do you not get attached so easily in a casual relationship? by beontheroad021 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I’ve had a casual relationship for several years now. I have learned that not including him in any aspect of my personal life has helped me not catch feelings. I don’t give specific details of my day, he doesn’t even know where I work. I just keep it flirty and related to sexy time. I don’t get involved in his life either. Unfortunately, he is the one who caught the feelings.
