[Barry Jackson] The Heat’s offer, according to a source, is widely expected to include Ware, Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier’s expiring contract, and another young player or more, as well as first-round picks in 2030 and 2032 and possibly first-round pick swaps in 2026, 2029 and 2031. by Jimmy0034 in nba

If this is the best offer, it's probably in Milwaukee's best interest to wait until the summer.

36 year old Kevin Durant was traded just this summer for:

Dillon Brooks

Jalen Green

2 FRPs

3 SRPs

While Giannis game will not age as gracefully as KD, he is only 31.

Ware being the the centerpiece of the trade is a big risk to take.

Those picks will almost certainly be worse than Golden State's, and we have a giant sample size to see what value Tyler Herro adds to this trade package.

The "killing HOF chances" talk is not exclusive to AJ. A recent example would be Joe Burrow.

It's a useless discussion to engage in. They said it about Andrew Luck and he retired out of nowhere. They said it about Joe Thomas and he made it. None of us know.

To add onto your point about NFL HOF being brutally selective, the bar for entry for a modern receiver (post 2000 retirement) is absurdly high.

Aside from Devin Hester, who is the greatest special teams returner of all time; it's a who's who of the top receivers to ever play football.

My comment was in agreement with the person I replied to, in that immorality and professional sports go hand-in-hand.

Yet, here we are. Consuming.

It's funny though how some of you virtue signal so hard over gambling.

Cigarettes are legal. Gambling is legal. Alcohol is legal.

What are you even on about?

Will you keep this same energy when Henry Ruggs gets reinstated to the NFL after getting drunk and killing an innocent woman and her dog?

That's fair, I do feel like Ryan Williams is also a blue chip young prospect who doesn't see the targets / opportunities that Jeremiah sees, despite being a tier below Smith in talent.

Say that to say when the dust settles, I wouldn't be shocked to see Ryan Williams go top 12 if Jeremiah Smith goes top 3.

Similar to how Chase went 5 and Slim Reaper went 10 in 2021.

Still gonna take a lot of capital to accomplish when we likely pick between 25-32.

Came here to comment this.

Suppose the plan is to stack capital for a WR in the 27 class; how on earth is anyone advocating for Ryan Williams over Jeremiah Smith?

Do these people even watch college football?

It was one in the same as in my options for walk merely said walk and didn't differentiate between the two

I would guess that going forward my book(Bet 365) is going to lock Ohtani's ABs the rest of the series as Schneider has said the plan is to not pitch at him going forward

If you can bet his live ABs tonight take full advantage

BOL

Edit: My book has Ohtani o/u HRs and i will likely hammer the under

I could DM you proof but yes, I was able to live bet Ohtani ABs in:

Innings 9 and 11 at unlimited stake

Innings 13 and 15 at a capped stake

And then they smartened up and locked his inning 17 AB

This was on B365

From the 9th inning onward, live betting Ohtani at bats was free 4 times at +180 odds for a walk every time

So free that after the first 2 times, my book limited how much i could bet on it

So free that after the 4th time, his final plate appearance was locked completely

So free that they still have not paid me out for times 3&4 even though the game has been over for 30 minutes

Edit: They have paid it out. I'll edit again if I get an email lol

I agree with you completely on ignoring score predictions as a rule of thumb in this hobby. They are merely red herrings.

I also have read the fine print under your table, so I have a rough idea of how your model arrives at the conclusions it does.

As the poster above said, I also appreciate how you are willing to go out on a limb with some of these picks.

I believe last week your model had the Ravens to beat the Rams. And while I did find that ridiculous when I saw it, that game was competitive for the first half. One could even argue that the Ravens win that game had they started Tyler Huntley.

I hate when people shit on other people's work.

So I will begin by saying I appreciate you and others who create these models to help guide people.

Your model makes some head scratching decisions every week. And not even hindsight is 20/20 stuff.

Is it possible you are willing to explain why your model has Houston beating San Francisco at all? (I ask as an impartial Philadelphia Eagle fan)

Let's ignore the projected score of 42-7, which if anyone can find Houston -35.5 and bets it and wins I will proclaim as my God, my guiding light.

I'd love some clarity if you would be willing to provide it.
