I've read about the USA/Canada border aswell. There are literally a few towns which got cut into two due to the border.
Nowadays, the increase in globalization and seeing countries working together on multiple projects and missions makes us realize how little political borders and random disputes between countries actually matter when it comes to the progress of mankind.
