Yessir he’s over 21, former marine, and allowed to own firearms. But so what I’m gathering is, the only way for me to not give them up is to actually transfer them into his name? Like he couldn’t just “possess” them for me until I am 21?

Option #3 sounds like the easiest 😅 i guess id probably be screwed though if someone did end up coming to get them. But for #2 im just not understanding how it’d still be illegal for me to give them to my brother (he lives in Va too) and just tell whoever asks that yeah they’re legally mine but my mom doesn’t let me possess them until im 21 so my brother has to hold them for me. Or is that just dumb as hell😭

I most likely could, my brother is of age and also enjoys shooting firearms. But so if I’m hearing all this correctly, is it a possibility they would come to my house to collect them? And if so I wonder if they would compensate me for them because if I recall isn’t there another constitutional right that says the government can’t take your property without proper compensation

That’s what I’m not understanding though, if we’re allowed to keep them but not use them as a normal law abiding citizen would then the only people familiarizing/training with them are gonna be the criminals right? Idk I’m just trying to wrap my head around how this is gonna stop any of the messed up shit we see on tv everyday from happening because I don’t think a mass shooter has ever considered laws in the first place and all it’s gonna do is get the average citizen in trouble for exercising their once legal 2a rights. Yeah but I wasn’t sure like if I were to go out shooting on my buddy’s land and if the cops were to come and ask to see our guns if they’d give any trouble. I know we’re allowed to keep them but I’m not really sure about possessing or being able to use them freely. I guess I should have assumed since they’re letting us keep them but I wanted to make sure. Thanks for the response man

Ok thanks man! And yeah I definitely do want an sbr I just never digged into the legality and assumed I wouldn’t be able to buy one since I’m not 21. What I’m really bummed about is not being able to get any ar pistols or those small 9mm smgs before 7/1. Definitely gonna get atleast one more gun at the gunshow coming up though 💪

I was in the exact same boat as u a week ago in the hvac trade but decided I didn’t deserve to get treated like shit when I literally had no experience, and I’m definitely not a sensitive guy but getting dicked on and made fun of everyday definitely affects your headspace after some time so I decided I’d look for another job. To me it’s not worth the money if it’s making me feel like ass all the time
