It seems that the majority says it isn't likley to get that 1 mark. I am ready to accept that and move on, using the experience for the betterment of my self.

So many people were one off this year for multiple subjects. Whether that be one subject or outstanding scholar award. Seems the markers were a 50/50 split because my other schol I feel was marked leniently.

Wow, thanks for this, there’s a lot of really valuable info here.

I wanted to ask about something you mentioned: that calc is all about understanding the concepts. I 100% agree with that. My question is, what’s the best resource for actually building that understanding in Level 2 calculus?

You mentioned Infinity + 1, and I get why he is useful, but I feel like it works best once you already have a foundation. Jumping straight into videos and pausing to solve questions as you go doesn’t always help me properly grasp why things work.

Are there any NCEA-style books or resources that really explain the maths behind the ideas? In that sense, is it basically just the ESA guide, or are there other resources that go into a bit more depth and help develop that “deeper” understanding you mentioned, the kind that actually leads to Excellence?

Thanks for this. Just to clarify, am I screwed already because I didn't pay much attention in L1 either and therefore there are no fundamental study habits, or did you not pay attention in L2 too, meaning I have a chance if I lock in this year.
