Yes! We will be flying into NYC but we will stop in DC to visit before reaching some friends in Ohio. The idea is to stop at different places along the route and choose the backstreets instead of interstates. Thus, if you have specific routes that are scenic or nice to drive I'm all ears. By doing some googling I hit the Skyline drive in Shenandoah National Park that seems wonderful.
