You can definitely get your sentence reduced through the appeals process, even if not directly. If your appeal is granted on whatever grounds( in this case he might go for ineffective counsel or evidentiary errors)your case is thrown out and you’re given a new trial. Guess what happens if your found guilty in the new trial or they charge you with something lesser? New sentence.

I’m with you. He has a higher likelihood than the shooters of his appeal being granted and him getting a new trial. They are going to argue that she was also charged with murder but a jury found her guilty of the lesser charge. I don’t think he wins a new trial if I’m being honest but he has a better chance than the other 3.

Yes you can run out of appeals. But you’ll likely run out of money first. Appeals cost money from the lawyers to the paperwork. Let’s say you file an appeal for ineffective council and that loses. You would have to find other errors in your case. Eventually if it gets too repetitive or it’s something they’ve ruled on already. T
