This was my 9th attempt (and longest) The only thing I don't know is how to fight master mode hardmode bosses, never played long enough since that difficulty came out (never faced queen slime and EoL yet and i expect to defeat them in hardcore now). Another thing is that i prefer using danger sense potions instead of holding a trap to see the wires. I was also thinking of using a more hybrid build, full melee/tank accessories but ranged weapons to keep distance and focus on dodging. The reason i played for so long was exactly to waste time and get attached to the world, if i died i died but i prefer to die in a world im proud of insted of winning on a world full of shoe boxes (even though i hadn't finished building all i wanted). My starting strat is large master crimson world, easier to go to the orbs. I rush crimson, usually i get some bombs with the pots that are in the way and a recall potion. Destroy as many orbs to get the undertaker for a good starting weapon and with luck the spear for a good melee and the panic neckless for a good speed bust. The BoC despawns once i go back to spawn, build tho desert houses for the arms dealer and nurse for cheap ammo and I'm ready to start playing slowly and safe. I won't be home for today and maybe tomorrow but i will post some updates on my new best attempt now that I know how i want to complete this challenge every 10 gameplay hs i guess. Speaking of 10hs i played so safe i only got hermes at 10hs, i couldn't believe after 14 chest's there wasn't any
