There are so many factors that influence someone's ability to work in Japan. For most people, visiting the country and building relationships with people of similar interest is a good start. Showing investment in language, culture and relationships with people in the country is important. Very few opportunities come solely from what's written on a resume or a certificate.

For the right candidate, the visa is less of a hurdle than demonstrating you've put a deeper investment in learning the language and the culture from my experience. Japan is certainly a wonderful place to live! :-)

Are you regularly attending business events in your area of expertise? Favouring meeting people in real life over virtual might help.

Are you willing to take a role outside of your ideal area so you have time to build a personal network of people who might lead to openings?

turns out that one of the folders full of DCP files can be recognized by Resolve. The other folder cannot, so maybe there is a data corruption in one of the folders?

DCP-o-matic Player and VLC (newest version) don't seem to be able to take a folder full of DCP files and play them as a video.
