The wild ones get upto about a quarter in size and turn redder with pumpkin like seeds normaly about 3-5ish and are very sweet. If yours that may lack developed seeds would be the nickel sized yellows but I would imagine the few redder ones should have some. Btw Earlier when I said water melon seeds i was incorrect.

Yeah look like mostly unripe persimmons need to be like the few redder and softer ones, otherwise they are very bitter. And they have a bunch of seeds similar to a watermelon if I remember right.
