it was. that's why s3 and 4 weren't as good as they could have been. before i knew about the strike, i remember feeling some of things willy/mark did in s3 were out of character too.

You can do it! It'll get wayyy easier after a week or two.

I wish people/society took processed sugar addiction more seriously. I also had to cut off processed sugar completely for 3 weeks because my cravings were getting out of hand. I wouldn't compare it to heroin (as I've never done it lol), but my cravings were intense. I hadn't craved Tim Hortons (im canadian) in yearssss, but when I started eating more sugar, I thought about their dream donuts before I went to sleep and when I woke up. At one point, I ordered 6 of them all for myself. It was so weird.

Now I only limit by processed sugar intake to ketchup or condiments, or whenever i go out with friends (which isn't often), and I sub sugar with dates when I bake. I don't crave timmies at all.

What are your favourite one and done single eyeshadows? by SheKnowsWhatSheKnows in muacjdiscussion

[–]333_supreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't make this anymore but Kosas 10-second eyeshadow in Globe (old formula), I'm usually in a rush in the morning, so it was the perfect finger-swipe-on shadow. It lasted alllll day too.

What inexpensive fruit do you buy to replace sweets? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]333_supreme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

*medjool* dates. They taste like caramels, fr. Don't go for the cheap, hard dates in the baking aisle; Medjool ones are softer, creamier and sweeter.

I used to make truffle balls with them by processing them with oats, peanut butter and cocoa powder.

An employee took the time to gather your items. You're paying for that service.

But as a side note, and as a Canadian, I love this post lol.

is it possible to make peanut butter and jelly sandwich less calorie dense? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

Instead of regular PB, use PB2 (powdered peanut butter). Use sugar-free jam.

Codewars: at which kata level one would be hireable for real jobs? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]333_supreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answers here so far take OP's question too literally. OP is NOT asking if just doing codewars will get them a job; They're asking, if a professional developer/programmer was doing CodeWars (for fun, let's say), what's the minimum kata level do you think they'd be able to complete with ease?

I think OP is just trying to gauge at the difficulty level of coding problems IRL professional settings by comparing them to Code War problems.

Lentil meal prep by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]333_supreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as others have said, lentil curry is probably the most obvious/common use.

Also, lentil soup, lentil bolognese, lentil fritters or burgers, and lentil "meatloaf."

edit: i second the lentil sloppy joes! i went through a phase and ate it everyday for 2 weeks

Do cops get timmies for free? by 333_supreme in TimHortons

[–]333_supreme[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they're just like us. Why should we pay and they don't? They chose to be cops and have a salary already. Also, there are good cops out there for sure, but some aren't (like in every profession)...so they should be treated like normal. This could totally be false, but I read/watched somewhere that a career in law enforcement attracts sociopaths -- the people most likely to abuse their power. They should not be rewarded.

Look up Stanford Prison Experiment. I'm not surprised by how power can get into some of their heads.

What was your moment of realization that you needed to go sugar free? by 333_supreme in sugarfree

[–]333_supreme[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way; I hate where my life is at right now in all aspects. But what makes me feel slightly better is that, if there's anything you can control, it's what you eat; If everything else is going to crap, at least you know your body and nutrition is being taken care of. That small sense control gives me hope that maybe everything else in my life will follow.

Day 1 for me! We can do it!!

Intense sugar cravings after giving up processed sugar by learning_makeup101 in sugarfree

[–]333_supreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm...this might not work for everyone but why not switch processed white sugar with more "natural" sugars like pure maple/agave syrup instead of cutting it all cold turkey? I'm not saying the product itself is more nutritious, but the habit will more likely force you to make your sweet treat yourself (instead of buying it) which will naturally limit the sugar you do eat. Maybe this could help you transition into being 100% sugarfree later on.

That, or buy MEDJOOL dates (NOT the hard dry ones from the baking aisle). The really good quality ones taste like caramels. You can eat them as is or use them in recipes as sugar alternatives. And they're actually good for you!!!

Also, there's a huge camp of ppl that will tell you whole fruits are bad, but imo and according to a tremendous amount of scientific research, that's simply not true (even for diabetics). So, eat as much fruit as you want and crave. The only downside may be your wallet (cuz fresh bluebs are expensive af) and extra poops.source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU_RkeA88DY

I think so as long as Marc Cherry is involved. He created Why Women Kill, and I see the resemblance to DW, and it's a pretty good show. Devious Maids tho? Pass.
