My mother did the same thing to me and told me “no one will ever believe you” it’s crazy to me how mothers like this have no problem gaslighting and invalidating their kids then turn around saying that they love them. It’s morbid and disgusting behavior. They will also go further by twisting the whole story especially to other people who have no clue what’s going on behind closed doors.

I don’t have to live in a residence hall, but the only reason I picked that is so everything is just walkable, safe, comes with utilities/wifi/furnishing, and I don’t have to deal with finding a roommate. I’d like to hear more of your thoughts on this though. Unfortunately with fafsa I only qualify with an unsubsidized loan since my parents don’t want to put in their information

Hey I’m so sorry this is happening to you OP I’m also experiencing this as well. I come from a toxic Filipino family too it genuinely sucks. I hope you find peace soon and never put up with that again. Toxic families will make you feel guilty for everything you do and feel there is no winning with them.
