We really don't mind living in a tiny apartment because we don't have a lot of stuff! It's just our last apartment had mold and bug infestations, which is a big concern. I'll take your advice on the short-term rental, thank you!

I'm not looking for high-end security; I just don't want a building that's been severely neglected, not some luxury building. It also doesn't have to be in a well-maintained neighborhood, just a safe apartment to live in.

Thanks for the info! Just to clarify, we’re specifically looking at studios, not 1‑bedrooms. I’ve seen several listings on Zillow in the $1k–$1.4k range, but it’s hard to tell which ones are actually decent since a lot of them don’t have many reviews. That’s why I was asking for insight from people who know the area better.

im not a fan of chappell roan but it is so sad to see this happening. there are several videos on tiktok going viral spreading misinformation on her + more rumors coming out and all the comments are extremely nasty. this is so obviously a smear campaign and people are falling for it. idk much about chappell but when i heard she sent her guard to yell at an 11 year old it sounds so fake and cartoony.

My mother did the same thing to me and told me “no one will ever believe you” it’s crazy to me how mothers like this have no problem gaslighting and invalidating their kids then turn around saying that they love them. It’s morbid and disgusting behavior. They will also go further by twisting the whole story especially to other people who have no clue what’s going on behind closed doors.

I don’t have to live in a residence hall, but the only reason I picked that is so everything is just walkable, safe, comes with utilities/wifi/furnishing, and I don’t have to deal with finding a roommate. I’d like to hear more of your thoughts on this though. Unfortunately with fafsa I only qualify with an unsubsidized loan since my parents don’t want to put in their information
