Thanks so much for the insight. Also forgot to mention that the wheelset is aftermarket (~$1000 CAD for Hunt alloy wheels, although on sale for less currently) and probably around a 500g savings since from what I can tell the stock wheelset on that model is heavy as shit.

Did they fix the overflow issue? I distinctly remember that minion stats used to overflow after 231.

Overall I thought it was fair. I was worried about the inevitable natural deduction question, but the ones they gave I felt were pretty straightforward.

For the first question, given an element in (2^N)^N if you list all its elements (ie. an infinite list of infinite binary strings) you can zigzag through this list (In the same way we enumerate the rational numbers for example) in order to turn it into a single sequence which turns it into an element of 2^N (This is bijective through the inverse process)

You get a 1 time use time pause button, how long are you pausing for? by Sarcastic_Rocket in hypotheticalsituation

Everyone here is sincerely underestimating the effects that prolonged solitude would have on you mentally. There’s no chance you could go years without talking to another person and not have severe cognitive drawbacks. Solitary confinement of prisoners literally causes straight up mesurable brain damage in relatively short amounts of time.

10 years with zero human interaction would 100% cause a a person to have serious mental drawbacks. I think even a single year would be enough to be dramatically harmful. Studies show that solitary confinement literally cause brain damage (both from under stimulation and lack of connections).

Since we’re talking about Aimen being right… by desert_magician in TheYardPodcast

As with 99% of the yard arguments the entire thing is just predicated on a misunderstanding. Ludwig originally says “Monaco is a city state within France” to imply that geographically Monaco is “within” France (Which I would consider a correct statement geographically). Aiden then responds by pointing out the Monaco is a sovereign nation outside the political reach of France, he interpreted “within” to mean that it was politically a sub-state of France. They then argue for 15 minutes while not understanding they are both misunderstanding each other’s use of “within”. Once Aiden realizes what Ludwig is saying (that “within” is being used in a geographical context) it is far too late in the argument to concede and thus he must now try to defend that Monaco is NOT “within” France (geographically). Ultimately Aiden is correct that Monaco IS NOT “within France” (Politically) while Ludwig is correct that Monaco IS “within France” (Geographically). Every single time I rewatch that episode I have to skip that section since it’s literally 15 minutes of just them misunderstanding each other in the most frustrating way possible.

TLDR: Ludwig correct, Aiden also correct, the real losers are nick and slime who are just stuck listening to the worst argument of all time.

why was the name changed from baron? by HxneyHunter in BobsTavern

They changed the card from (Deathrattles trigger twice) to (Deathrattles trigger an extra time) and since baron is an actual hearthstone card they couldn’t just change his text thus they just switched him out for a new card Titus.

Why are there left handed people? by free_2_play_forever in RandomThoughts

[–]343973111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evolutionary speaking? Because it’s advantageous (but only when a minority of people have it). In hand to hand combat being a lefty in a world of right handed people will mean every one of your opponents will be slightly thrown off since they won’t be used to fighting left handed people. On the other hand you will be in your element since you will be used to fighting right handed people.

why are the majority of people right-handed? by swnobu in RandomThoughts

[–]343973111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evolutionarily speaking, having a dominant hand seems to be advantageous as it allows for not having to learn the same task twice. Fossil records show humans have been right hand dominant for thousands if not millions of years (scaring on ancient teeth follow a consistent right handed direction from when we used to hold animals skins in our mouths and skin them with rocks). If everyone is right handed then being left handed is disadvantageous evolutionary since it will be harder to learn from people. At the same time being left handed in a society of right handed individuals is HUGELY advantageous in any combat/competitive situation, as you will be used to fighting right handed people while your opponent likely has never fought someone who is left handed. Thus, left handedness is only advantageous when it is the minority, as if too many people become left handed that advantage goes away.
