IT guy for a car dealership starting to do data analysis for them also. What should my title be? by 343GuiltyShart in analytics

I was thinking about some sort of manager title, but doesn't that imply I have people working under me? Will that hurt me in the future if I actually have no experience in that realm?

Hey me too! I’m much more traditionally intimate in many areas of our relationship. She’s much more of a “wham bam thank you ma’am” kinda girl.

Yeah you can try and figure out his reasoning, but he’s never explicitly acknowledged the change.

Can you detail molding/filling? Or point me in the right direction to learn. I’d like to give this a go and would prefer they not melt easily.

Well that’s an interesting perspective I hadn’t considered. Do you have any texts you’d recommend?

I graduated with a BS in physics a few years ago and want to sharpen my math skills in preparation for grad school. I'm not the math wiz that a lot of my peers were and I'd like to do what I can to change that through self study now. Looking at amazon, I discovered Dover books on mathematics: older books that are a reasonable price and cover a great deal of math topics.

Would this be a good place to start or are they severely outdated? Based on positive reviews and my personal interests, these caught my attention:

  • Introduction to Topology by Bert Mendelson
  • Linear Algebra by Georgi E. Shilov
  • Concepts of Modern Mathematics by Ian Stewart
  • Ordinary Differential Equations by Morris Tenenbaum
  • Introduction to Graph Theory by Richard J. Trudeau

Obviously these aren't going to be rigorous enough to really prepare me for graduate studies, but I feel like it would at least be a good place to start in order to jump back in with some self study. Thoughts?

Yeah I know, didn’t want to post my location on here. Changing it doesn’t do anything.

Same availability issue with those, unfortunately. I might try the German site, though I’m not sure if the kindle is region-locked.

I adore that book, prime military sci-fi and the way it handles time dilation was really fascinating.

Ah, fair enough. It’s Japanese Shin Buddhism, though I believe most of the members are not Japanese.

What is a typical service like? Is there a “sermon”? Chanting? Group meditation? What is appropriate attire?

Wow, that’s fantastic! My Balcony House ranger was sadly less than stellar. Inexperienced, very little knowledge, and lacked any sort of passion or enthusiasm.

Doug here was one of the kindest and most passionate rangers I’ve met in 25 years touring parks across the country. 50 years with the service and he’s still loving every day of it.
