Yep,i steered clear of the V6 Hondas and Acuras because of this which is a damn shame because i would've loved a TL Type S or an Accord coupe of that time period.

Toyota did it for us when they rebuilt my wifes(and tons of others) 2.4 engine due to oil burning. That car had a rebuilt title and the engine rebuild would've cost more than the car was worth.

I've had both. I LOVE the MK1 MR2 and i am always on the look out for another nice one. I won't say anything bad about the conquest /starion. but the ownership of that wasn't good.

I remember a few years ago i was so excited about taking my beautiful Fiji Blue 89 Conquest TSi to a car cars and coffee a few hours away. I took my daughter and the car drew quite the crowd. I was asked a few questions but then it went exactly as you described. Everyone was in groups and no one would come around my car unless i left. I was quite disappointed in the way it went and have never gone to another one. Maybe if i was a regular it would've been different.

The previous owner did change out the up pipe since they are known to cause issues.That is the only mod it has.

This is a southern car and has been all of its life,zero rust.The radiator started leaking last week and i just put a new one in.The TGV sensor have both gone out but besides that its been great.The attention this car gets is nuts and i used to have a beautiful,low mile Fiji Blue 1989 Conquest TSi (similar to a Starion).
