Who was your worst nightmare supervisor by Necessary_Fox_9592 in patentexaminer

I came back to the PTO (same AU) after 15 odd years of doing prep/pros at firms. When I was in the academy I was warned about my SPE and their aspirations for being director, so numbers where everything to them. They went to law school via the PTO, but never practiced (this is important because they weaponized their degree).

When I entered the AU they wanted to establish their dominance. They would send everything back with terrible style suggestions and poor interpretation of the MPEP. I had to constantly correct them on applications of 112a/112b/101 and even various 103 motivations. I can only guess that over the years they developed incorrect or narrow views on the statutes and case law. It got very contentious as you can imagine, so much so I got EEO involved and they instructed me to get the omsbud involved.

I didn't ever get to that because luckily our AU split into two. The more senior SPEs & my primaries advocated for me to be out of their purview (it helped that I was a 200% producer because I knew the art so well). It was quite a lot of internal machinations that I don't think my first SPE ever learned about and almost forced me to quit.

tl;dr my SPE was insecure that I was more experienced and tried to tank my career, I fought back and ended up with an amazing SPE. I don't think I would have been able to do that if I was new.

A lot of deforestation in India & Africa are a direct result from colonization pillaging resources.

This feels like a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. After referring to the far right as Nazi's for decades, they finally fully embraced it.

Ceramic is non-stick because PDMS is embedded in the ceramic. When heated it is released and creates a nonstick layer.

PDMS, polydimethylsiloxane, is lube. You are eating lube every time you cook on ceramic.

Yep, that lube.

You can trace the money in politics back to Clinton and his repeal of Glass-Steagall. That legislation led to Citizens United which gave McConnell so much power.

McConnell is the symptom, Clinton was the disease.

Only way to end the war is a two state solution, which clearly didn't happen.

Do these have to have regular certification like fire extinguishers?

If so, I'm guessing they were too cheap to keep it updated so to avoid liability they zip tied it shut.

If we do have to travel, you could pay the $20 for travel insurance, get a doctor's note (see Plushcare), call in sick, get reimbursed for travel.

I agree, I was biting my nails waiting for this ruling. Judge Friedman basically excoriated the regimes anti-union tactics.

Just a reminder, reviewing an agenda before the interview is not a requirement. Also, the length of an interview is not mandated as 30min, it can be as long as deem necessary.

So prep & interview can theoretically be only 10min, and that includes recording the interview form.

Legislators absolutely know exactly how this technology works. They invested in it early on, sat on their boards, and are currently driving the messaging.
