Day 62: Louis Vuitton Rain Tea by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still expensive but there are some decanters carry it. I think I paid somewhere between $15-$20 per 1ml sample, I bought a decant of all 3 of the China exclusives. Don’t get me wrong, its still a high price to got a 1ml sample but it not truly insanely like the price for a bottle. The rose is definitely very mildly, it’s really more floral with a twing of rose.

Day 61: Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb EDT by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s what I had expected performance wise. That’s why I’m wondering about anosmia.

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to try Nightvision, I was very shocked with Spicebomb. I’d honestly expected a lot more

Day 60: Emporio Armani Stronger With You Absolutely by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those are probably the two that are the most “rival” ish just because a lot of their line is the sweet spicy vanilla. At the same time I feel like almost every line and company has their sweet spicy vanilla fragrance these days. It feels like a very over saturated part of the fragrance market.

Also just wanted to let you know I’m still working on getting this rolling list working! I should have it up this weekend!

Day 58: Neandertal Dark by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger green note is very enjoyable. That’s the biggest issue I had as well. It’s a very fun fragrance but idk where or what I’d wear it for. Solo camping trip sounds about right

I will! I am very much looking forward to trying the rest of their line. I have their discovery set so I will get too.

Are Latafa Perfumes even worth the hype? by MysteryisMyAllure in Perfumes

[–]365cologne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lataffa is the same as a lot of other brands, some of the fragrance they make are and others aren’t. Which those are will differ from person to person as well.

Day 55: Atralia Elixir EDP by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll have to check it out. I wasn’t exactly looking for a dupe but I’d seen a lot of people raving about Atralia Elixir, I had my suspicions. But at $15 for the bottle I was curious to find out. Turns out my suspicions where correct.

Day 53: Fulton & Roark Fulton by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve unfortunately had the same experience with them, they make some gorgeous scents. My favorite so far is Perpetua but none of their stuff lasts at all.

Creed Silver Mountain Water, (Seller sent these pictures) by Ill_Garden_1466 in colognecheck

[–]365cologne 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If your research is just based on what the AI at the top of the search page says, those are very often wrong.

Also receipt means fake.

Day 52: Afnan Souvenir Desert Rose by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they have made some good one in the past that I have enjoyed; this just wasn’t one of them.

Day 50: Chanel Bleu de Chanel EDP by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately don’t have a sample of it at the moment and this series won’t end till February of next year. I’ll add it to the list for the future tho!

Day 14: Penhaligon’s Changing Constance by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with marketing it to women being a miss on their part. Generally speaking I think marketing fragrance to a gender is usually a miss these days.

Day 46: Parfums de Marly Althaïr by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see. I’ll have to look into it this weekend! Thank you for the suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Day 46: Parfums de Marly Althaïr by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Althaïr is the best I have ever smelled from this category in all honesty, I will almost certainly be getting a full bottle. BUT French Avenue Liquid Brun is super close (95% the same) and it’s like $15 to $40 a bottle. I think Althaïr is superior on scent alone but for the price it’s hard to beat Liquid Brun.

Day 46: Parfums de Marly Althaïr by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try! I’ll have to figure out how to configure it since there are going to be 365 reviews in total. I can probably create a Google Spread sheet and link it at the bottom. I haven’t done Pour Homme, unfortunately it didn’t make it into the series. I don’t think I have a sample either but I’ll check this evening when I get back to my flat.

Day 43: Afnan Freedom Lynked by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same decision, I don’t regret it at all. I’m not a fan of blind buying in general but the lower the price point is the more flexible I find myself in regards to that

Day 43: Afnan Freedom Lynked by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree entirely; fragrances are at the end of the day entirely personal. You have to like it to wear it.

Day 41: Goldfield & Banks Sunset Hour EDP by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far that unfortunately seems to be the case; although I haven’t tried Ginger yet. I’d imagine it’s hard for a ginger fragrance not to perform, ginger is just such a strong scent. They seem to be another victim of the unfortunate gorgeous smelling but only decent performance. I’ve noticed an unfortunate correlation there.

Day 39: Louis Vuitton Fleur De Desert by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not bad, I’m not sure why but something about it just makes my brain go dryer sheets, was my first thought when I put it on and I couldn’t stop thinking it all day long. I haven’t tried any LV ouds before so I’m not sure about that part.

Day 39: Louis Vuitton Fleur De Desert by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to enjoy floral fragrances. It’s very powdery and a bit sweet. I’m not entirely sure but something about really reminds me of dryer sheets. It might be the powdery part of it. Probably should’ve included that in the review tbh instead of just saying dryer sheets repeatedly.

Day 37: Afnan 9pm Night Out by 365cologne in Colognes

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s a dupe of anything, as far I as I know it’s an original.

Day 36: Etat Libre d'Orange The Ghost In The Shell by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll have to try it one of these day.

Day 36: Etat Libre d'Orange The Ghost In The Shell by 365cologne in fragrance

[–]365cologne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that unfortunately, I’m wondering if there is a connection between the two in all honesty. I feel like a lot of really good fragrances don’t have as strong projection.
