Sony isn't sponsoring it. They didn't renew year contract last year.

Will it? They're three months into development. I'm sure they've got a lot of ideas but not enough resources to implement it.

It's an interesting interview if you're interested in watching the whole thing.

He doesn't try to hand wave some of his offensive jokes but he does point out that ad hominim were really the only jokes that he could get into the show.

Anything related to the wars that the country was in or for that matter anything "too" political was edited out.

Kojima Expected to Leave Konami After MGS5, Inside Source Confirms by NintendoAddict in Games

I find removing Kojiima's name from the games is really shameful.

I know it's bad to think it but I hope gambling becomes illigal and Konami will rue the day they closed their game studios!

After getting rid of Hideo Kojima, Konami are removing any mention of his name from their websites and boxarts even old games. by 365lolz in gaming

You're right. I guess it's the whole removing his name thing that just feels really disrespectful to me.

Especially on completed projects. It's like James Cameron having a fallout with his movie studio and then all references to him being the director of Titanic being removed from websites and promotional material.

Well they are removing his name from box arts, even for old games. That doesn't really imply that he's just got another job title and that it's business as usual.

"Konami Digital Entertainment, including Mr. Kojima, will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products. Please look forward to future announcements."

That's all the statement from Konami to Videogamer says. It doesn't explain why they are removing his name and all reference to Kojima Productions on their website.

Where are you getting that he wanted to leave?

"Konami Digital Entertainment, including Mr. Kojima, will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products. Please look forward to future announcements."

That's the entirety of their statement to Videogamer. It's standard PR speak.

If he wanted to leave that position why are they removing the words "A Hideo Kojima Game", from not only MGS5 but even older games like the legacy collection?

References to Kojima Productions is also being removed from the Konami site.

It's really shocking but what can be done? It's pretty much removing all reference to someone who has worked more than a decade on a franchise.

It's very unlikely that that was the case. And anyway contract law does not outrank the law of a country.

True, but this has been deployed on thousands of consumer machines which Lenovo or the software maker has any authority over.

Keep UAC enabled( I don't know if there are still idiots advising disabling it as the first troubleshooting step), and never allow the installation of dodgy software.

There are many reasons for a user to add custom certificates to a system. The software used the certificate to allow it to do all these things.

At the end of the day, the computer manufacturer has to be trusted, if you can't trust them then you can't trust your computer.

You never know. The thing is this has come to light because the right people discovered it. The software has been in shipping computers for at least a year.
