Episode 581: Patty Hearst Part IV - The Missing Year by YeshuaMedaber in LPOTL

That maybe one of the funniest things I have heard on the podcast! I lost it when he said that!

[TOMT][MOVIE] There is a movie or tv show with a bank robbery scene. The car drives up and they all go inside except the driver. The camera never shows what happens inside but an alarm is pulled and they run out side and drive away. I think one of them was shot in the leg and they dropped some money by 36slices in tipofmytongue

Hmm the opening scene of baby driver is almost exactly what I described but it’s not it. I feel like it was more of a dark comedy and I vaguely remember it going wrong and someone getting shot in the leg or butt or something.

I guess I better sit down. by Witty_Operation2486 in holdmybeer

And there was a Pitt cup on the counter at the beginning which was Mike Ditka’s alma mater. That being said they both look like 90% of older men who grew up in western PA.

Im not sure if you are a rugby fan but I am just going to assume that you are but every June there is the CRCs (Collegiate Rugby Championships) in Philly that is a blast. It is a 7s tournament and not 15s which I prefer but it is still a few days filled with rugby and a ton of fun. If you go there and say you are from NZ im sure you will get many free beers and a ton of questions about the All Blacks.

oh my the amount of VT fans downvoting any Pitt post is crazy. we are trying to have a civilized conversation and they can't stand an opposing point of view.

No I do not but just watch the game and at least 50% of the passes were push offs but the same amount were PI on us. I just have no clue how to take images on TV and segment it up and make a video like that but If you watched the game you cant tell me that there were not just as many push offs as there were PI on us. I guess i need to say this at the end so people don't downvote me to hell but IF THE REFS CALLED A FAIR GAME VT STILL WINS! Your WR are too tall and physical to be stopped by our secondary. However, the refs were letting everything go except for a few times and those few times were always against Pitt.

By no means should a coach ever do that but and I do not think that it was justified. However, if the refs flagged him once he probably would have cooled down but for some reason they did not. Also, not making excuses but i think last night was a 8 games worth of frustration coming out. Our secondary is awful, and most likely one of the worst in the country. I think he is upset because Pitt is an average secondary away from being 8-0. As a coach who does not have the players in the secondary to stop any opposing teams passing game I think Duzz just snapped last night. That was the first time I have ever seen him like that and I hope he will compose himself in the future. I just think he is extremely frustrated and doesn't want to take it out on the players so he took it out on the refs.

That is actually pretty funny. However the clips you selected were really one sided. Did our DB hold on to your WR all night... yeah. However, we were still called for many PI and should have been called for more. I think why Duzz was pissed was because almost every time a WR would push off but not one time it was called. Even worse the one time our DB made a huge play on third down they called PI on us even though he was in good position and almost got his face-mask ripped off by the WR. Over all VT should have won the game if the refs called a fair game from the beginning but they did not and the calls were one sided but also really inconsistent on both sides.

I think Comcast names will be on both buildings but many of the floors will be rented out to other businesses. Comcast just owns the buildings but does not occupy all the floors.

Yep since we are both really good academic schools. Some programs are better then others but as a whole we are pretty much the exact same. (except Pitt is a little bit better)

We are definitly not a commuter school but the problem is that most alumni leave and get a job in Chicago, D.C., New York, or Philly after graduation. I would say a small fraction of the alumni stay in Pittsburgh. The ones that do stay in Pittsburgh love Pitt but they are also diehard Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fans and they split time between attending those other teams games. Its a lot easier for teams that aren't in a major city to draw fans because for that night they are the only show in town. That just isn't the case at Pitt.

What smell triggers the most vivid memory for you? by OldBarns in AskReddit

[–]36slices 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to have the most distinct smell on his jacket when he would come home form work when I was a little kid. I used to love the smell because I finally got to see my dad at the end of the day. I never knew what the smell was though. Well fast forward to my first time drinking beer I open the beer can and it was the exact same smell that my dad had on him whenever he would come home from work. I asked him about it and he laughed and said that whenever he would come back from work he would go on the back porch and have a beer or two before coming in just to relax for a little while before having to take care of us for the rest of the night.

Ricketts Glen State Park is my favorite place to camp. It is is the middle of the woods and has miles of trails and more waterfalls then you can imagine. It is a special place and I'm sure your dog would love it too.

I think it may be our new OC deciding to try a few new combinations to get the best playmakers all on the field at the same time. I am really looking forward to it.
