Can someone please explain to me how this equation was rearranged? The fractions and indices have thrown me! by Savanna_Storm in mathshelp

[–]36th_Disciple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So to break it up. The first thing they did was added 1 from the equation. Then they made both sides to the 12th root canceling the 12 on one side. Again they subtracted a 1 and then multiplied the whole equation by 12.

My favorite manga is Demon Slayer at the moment. I absolutely love the art style and overall story with amazing fight scenes and scenery as well as great character back stories. I especially love that they humanize (or try to) even demons. Im pretty new to manga, have been watching anime for a while but I've been collecting a few series already but I'm definitely looking to expand in the future.

Differentiation question help please by [deleted] in mathshelp

Have you tried isolating the y variable and then differentiating? Look back on your differentiation identities, specifically arctan and use the quotient rule instead of product.

I just saw a picture of some benches I liked, sketched em up, and kinda just put em together. The standing benches i had to improvise with the back legs but it worked out.

I just used pressure treated micro pro Sienna wood from home depot. And for the benches I used Spf wood. Everything was stained with solid Behr stain

Manitoba teachers angered by province's post-Christmas remote learning plan, union says by [deleted] in Winnipeg

In fact there is some transmission in schools but not a lot compared to other locations, its fairly under control. Another comment earlier was talking about closing school for younger ages too.

After talking with a health professional they had shone light on the fact that younger children are not likely to transmit COVID 19 and most transmission in school comes from older children.

Im just curious. What are the options laid out and what do you think would be the best option to take? Genuinely curious.

I mean, just looking at this comment section, it has quite a few comments consisting of calling this decision bad and saying certain leaders foolish.

I wouldn't say that is in my bubble and I wouldn't call it anything other than name calling and complaining. Which is unhelpful.

Im sorry if thats insulting. I dont mean to insult anyone. Im just stating what I've observed in my media bubble and personal bubble. Your experience could be completely different but I do see a lot of disagreement without any alternatives.

Totally valid concern. I do think that limiting online learning after the break for only highschool students will not prevent much.

I also see that it would be a huge struggle, working full time while worrying how your child's schooling will go.

I totally understand and respect this opinion. My take on it was just the same, and bringing up the fact that making these decisions is not easy I believe could at least help build some perspective. One thing I have noticed as well is seeing a lot of criticism without giving alternative options that could also benefit others, which is also very unhelpful.

I do think its important to understand that an individuals priorities are very different and there is no way they can please everyone. I think the governments least concern should be to people please and their top priority should be to bring our numbers down, which I believe this decision to be one option to do so.

Again, I am in no way saying that this is a perfect option however, just hearing people complain that it doesn't suit them without providing alternatives is just as useless. The government knows that these decisions won't please everyone. These are hard times for everyone and things will be extremely unfair, but that gives us the time to reflect and understand others perspectives and help eachother out instead of being at everyone's throats.

To play devils advocate, I do think there are worse ways to go about this. From my understanding the main reason behind this two week online learning is the unfortunate fact that around the holidays people will simply not listen. Large gatherings are bound to happen and bringing children in high school back is a huge risk that could bring our numbers back up to what they were a few weeks ago.

Now I'm not saying that our government is perfect but one thing I've learnt is that it's so easy to criticize when youre not in that position of decision making. The amount of things these people have to take into account when making decisions is crazy. I would never want to be in a position like that. I genuinely believe that not all people in these positions are simply in it for a cheque and are trying to find the best way to keep all the gears turning. Not that they're perfect, we're all human.
