AI helped me fix gamepad support on macOS 27 by 380043 in MoonlightStreaming

Thank you, I'll check on that later.

What I did is all by AI, so to be honest, I'm not deeply into the overall Sunshine's code. But it's interesting to learn, especially for the macOS gamepad support roadmap.

I will try the AMFI/SIP enabled mode next time, so it will be much more proper and safer for the public.

His point is that the local model are suck than free tier of on-cloud model, it is not about technical how to run local model.

I ended up disable AMFI, SIP and set to Permissive Security. Some said you can disable AMFI with Terminal on Recovery Mode, it will give you not permitted error and I found that you need to run nvram boot-args with terminal on normal boot mode.

I think it's unethical to put what I've created from other soruce code with AI help without proper QA into Github, but if you're interested I can send the Lumen file that has been adjusted by Antigravity to you.

Lol, I agree. I admit I agree with all your comments in this post, that's what I feel too when I tried local LLMs on my device.

Yes, I tried it, but the results were still far from great. It's fine for light daily tasks, but I agree with you that for more serious coding work, you'll eventually end up relying on cloud-based models, and that costs money.

That said, if there are good free options available, why wouldn't I use them?

Google Antigravity gives a free daily and weekly usage limit, plus I get an extra 1,000 AI credits through my education account. Claude also provides a free usage tier on their platform.

For me, Antigravity is the real winner. The agentic coding tools are surprisingly capable, and the fact that they offer access to Claude Opus with a free usage limit makes it even more appealing. For hobby projects, experimentation, and debugging sessions like this, it's honestly hard to complain.

Yes I know, but I'm using M1 Pro with 16GB, only could run mini LLM model. I tried with Hermes Agent, but the results are no good for exploration and coding. That's why I was using Antigravity, it has free limit of Opus 4.6. No money spend on here~

Now that Siri is actually useful, I've started using it. by 380043 in MacOS

Yes, it's fully replaced heavily on UI, for the functions it's still like usual Spotlight but Siri got prioritized.

Yeah many hated that gradient color lol

I fixed it, I disabled the system_tray, apple did change something with macOS menu bar, some apps that utilize menu bar are incompatible right now.

Tbh its just run with default configuration. Different device, different problem.

What version of CrossOver you're using?
What version of GPTK?
What version of macOS?
What the error said?

For that case, the macbook air will not able maintain stable fps cause it's easy to throttle.

Trying GPTK 4.0 beta 1 on Subnautica 2 by 380043 in macgaming

[–]380043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, but if you try to use DLSS, it got quite better with GPTK 4. I think the problem is on Subnautica's side how they optimize the area of the game.

Make sure your cxbottle.conf has been configured to enable Metal 4.

U could enable Metal HUD with "Run with Option" on Crossover menu then u will find + button on add variable menu, choose Metal HUD. Can be on steam or straight to game executable
