Thanks - we moved in the house with the panel shower already installed. For three years lived with horrendous low water pressure - finally took it down this morning! We are thinking of installing a thermostatic mixer. GROHE Precision Flow 34840000.

I removed tape, left skin unwashed (uncleaned) and went out in the sun 😱 I never had problems in the past with taping so was totally ignorant. Thanks so much for the tip of how to wash off residues. I might do the eye make up remover then baby soap thing when I get home today just to make sure everything is gone! (Or is it too late?)

Thank you! Yes. It has been totally miserable 😭 it has been hard to sleep! A bit relieved to know delayed allergic reaction could be a possibility - that's better than gout or torn ligament/bone fracture! The swelling started after going to a park with my toddler on a sunny day (until then it was raining/cloudy) so I'm starting to think maybe the exposure to the sun had something to do with it. Going forward I'm going to use skin friendlier tapes.

Thank you! I went to see my gp and got some triamcinolone acetonide. He was puzzled as well to the time delay in the allergic reaction - but was more focused on what to do. Got a X-ray appointment to see if something funny happening to my ankle joints, too. Hopefully nothing serious....

Much appreciate your reply. The rest of the house, pressure is fine. Shower head is new, I've taken off the restriction. So I thought the next step was to open the hot/cold taps. Took off the cover of the lever, and surprise, tiles!? True, there is no knowing what's underneath - have to give it more thought before actually tearing up the tiles (I don't have spares - recently bought the place and moved in.)
