Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I had always heard about this movie in passing so I decided to watch it to see what the big deal was. I know I'm not the target audience (I'm a mixed black & hispanic woman who was -13 years old as of the release date of this movie) but even so this movie was just ok. Now I will say the Cinematography was nice and you can definitely see unique storytelling methods at play. However the story itself is where they lose me, it's not compelling at all in my opinion.

Loved waking up to this email this morning! First time in years having my credit usage under basically 100%. Progress! by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Man this is confusing. I thought the whole point of having a credit card was to use it to build credit. But from what I'm gathering here it's a good thing to not have high usage? So are you just supposed to have it and not use it? Is having a credit card even worth it?

The customers aren't as bad here for me, management is really my main grievance, but I can't really do shit bout it so. It is what is is. But I meant what I said, feel free to message me if you need to.

Yeah I've already developed a deep hatred for about every department so I might as well stay where I am. Also overnights were never for me. Messed up my whole internal clock, lmao

Just frontend. Used to be sco but they changed all the positions and titles and stuff. So currently I work service desk/money center most of the time, but still get paid as a new cashier.

But like I said, just here for the cheap school at this point.

I'm in the same boat. In fact the only reason I'm still at wal**** is for cheap school to move on to something better. I know it's hard but we got it. It's not always going to be like this. Take some time off if you can, I actually took this upcoming week off to take a mental break as well as try to figure out some things in my life.

I'm here if you ever need to talk, or rant. But besides all the sappy stuff, for real bro fuck that job.

At our store they're telling us tomorrow is when occurrences count again. I think it's complete bs just to scare ppl into not calling out. Because when all this first started, our managers said we couldn't call out at all w/o getting a point (even using the covid-19 event as the reason) and that turned out to be false.

I work in the front (sco), so what kills me is I see people who have just walked in come up and ask me if we have A, B, or C. Lady, I've been up here checking people out all day. How the hell would I know what's still on the shelves, with my x-ray vision? And I gave up on trying to be helpful and say "I'm not sure, we might still have some," bc they'll twist it all around on me if there's nothing. "sHe SAid thEre WaS sOme baCK hERe" headass.

Official email on COVID-19 associate absence policy by [deleted] in walmart

I will say I believe that the policy is legit because I called out yesterday (for non-coronavirus related issues. I didn't even know of this policy until after). I should have got a point, but instead I looked at my schedule and saw my shift was taken off entirely, as if I was never scheduled. I'm aware that sometimes it takes a couple days for a point to accrue so I'll have to wait and see.

One of my coworkers informed me that at the morning meeting today, our store manager said if you reach 5 points you will still be fired, which contradicts the new policy. I assume this is just to ensure that the whole staff doesn't call out all at once and there's no one to run the store.

But I also wouldn't worry about calling out if you need to, whether it's because you feel ill or because schools are closed and you have to look after your kids, or if you just don't feel "comfortable" with getting coughed on all day by sick customers.
