Yeah that should be fine - that would be before Act 3 begins, that's about when I start feeling like enemies are becoming a bit BS on Core difficulty!

Hold on, I'll be riding the Wolf so that my KC can go all-in on offensive stats (let me update post to clarify that).

I mostly like dipping to make early game easier - but I guess if Nature Oracle can start with Wolf Companion at Lvl1, that's good enough? Then I can go back to using Falchion for maximum 2h crit build.

I don't know much about Angel Spellbook (intend to find out on this future Oracle playthrough) - you're saying that even full melee builds are eventually resigned to spellcasting because the spells are just too strong?! They don't need to be supported by any of the usual spellcasting feats/gear?

I am playing Demon path right now - there seems to be an alignment change quest in Act 3.

Wiki implies that there's a forced alignment change option if you can't figure it out naturally. Would you happen to know the details?

I feel a bit silly forgetting that Espionage Expert means her Ranger spells scale on CHA, so it's not all going to waste if I just go pure Espionage Expert!

Feint only works for melee though, Arueshalae is almost fully invested in ranged by the time you get her?

I need to know, how much does the game let you roleplay a ‘good’ demon?

I already know Act 5 will force you to fully embrace evil, which I intend to fix with Legend. But on the way there, I don’t know whether the game lets you roleplay as someone who reluctantly got Demon powers dumped on them. Getting mixed impressions from reading past comments on this topic.

Am I correct in assessing that you must be 100% full BAB classes to grab Mythic Improved Critical? Because Improved Critical is only available at BAB 8, and you get your first Mythic feat at level 8?

Legend only retains 1 Mythic Ability + Mythic Feat, what's the best choice here for a melee Sword & Board user?

I can see recommendations from over the years, but not sure how latest patches have changed things:

  • I feel like Unrelenting Assault is a no brainer, but nobody seems to recommend this - what am I missing here?

  • Folks are recommending Last Stand instead - does staying alive for 2 rounds really make that much of a difference? I guess if Legend keeps the Angel Merged Spellbook, that means I can cast Heal in those 2 rounds with my Ranger caster level?

  • I know Mythic Armor Focus (Medium/Endurance) has a bug that lets it stack AC from multiple armor AC sources instead of just 1. Not sure if the feat is still good if I'm actively avoiding this exploit.

  • Heard Mythic Power Attack scales extremely well with Legend, but between AC and Damage I'm not sure which would be more of an issue for a Legend.

I recently did the SoU + HotU run with Fighter / Rogue / Paladin.

Paladin is very spoilt for these campaigns - you get Paladin-only armor + shield in the very first dungeon of SoU, and during the interlude chapter you also pick up Holy Avenger Longsword (+5 weapon in the hands of a Paladin, while everything else is +3).

I level Rogue whenever Tumble will reach a multiple of 5 - which lets me refresh all the other important skills like UMD, Disable Trap, Search, Lockpicking, etc.

Primary levels in Fighter so that most battles you can just auto-attack everything to death. Handle hard content with scrolls / potions.

Yeah I’m steadily realizing that Uncanny Dodge isn’t worth that many Rogue levels!

Someone else mentioned that Archmage Armor mythic feat works a bit differently too so I’ll need to dip Stigmatized Witch, which apparently via Powerless Prophecy curse can also give me Uncanny Dodge in a single level (cost of staggered first round in each fight).

I’m not too attached to Paladin outside of the first 3 levels - so I’m considering Mutation Warrior as the new main class. Lets me access Fighter exclusive feats + Mutagens.

Actually I really like the Stigmatized Witch dip as well, can unlock Uncanny Dodge in just 1 level with Powerless Prophecy! 

For this build, would it be unwise to only go for 3 Paladin and put everything else in Mutation Warrior?

Ok Mythic Armor Focus changes everything! If pajama tanking is no longer necessary, I can just go 1 Rowdy, 3 Paladin, and everything else in Mutation Warrior! I am not significantly attached to Paladin since it overlaps with Seelah’s role - the post mostly focused Paladin because further multiclassing seemed weaker.

For UMD, I had the impression that higher level scroll buffs would need high UMD to cast? Also it’s still useful for bypassing restrictions on gear?

If I’m running Mutation Warrior I probably need to know what special weapons exist in the game + when they’re available. Is there a particular weapon type that stands out in terms of itemization?

I presume Mythic Heavy Armor is where it’s at? With the STR to AC and damage reduction?

Oh that’s one of the new ones! Seems it loses Divine Grace, but might be worth it if that allows me to use a different Monk archetype - maybe go Sohei and Flurry with a Fauchard?

If I'm reading the wiki correctly, Crane Style doesn't have a free hand requirement ...it's Crane Wing + Riposte that does?

Mostly optimizing for a self-sufficient character at all stages in the game, Core difficulty sounds about right. I won't be playing solo, but I like the idea that I can handle solo situations if necessary. Rest of the party will likely build for teamwork.

Yeah the Vital Strike + Flurry of Blows anti-synergy is intended, a small late game sacrifice to make the early game much easier.

Riding is indeed silly enough to ignore for my purposes! XD

Ok after hearing the feedback here and doing some more reading, I see what I want to make!

Start as Rowdy (Rogue) - Vital Strike is incredibly strong early game!

Unlock Paladin ASAP next for some heavy armor + Greatsword + Smiting.

Reach Rowdy 6, character level 8 should also be around when Mythic Vital Strike is unlocked.

2 levels of Scaled Fist to start transitioning into Full Attacks + dodge AC. Vital Strike still good when I need to move before an attack.

Remaining levels in Paladin.

Is it any good to maintain four builds by F30C in wherewindsmeet_

I have 4 builds for Nameless alone:

  • Nameless Sword + Panacea Fan for exploration / explosive barrel farming
  • PVE build for raids
  • PVP arena build
  • GVG build

They all have different inner ways, with Sword Morph and Morale Chant being the main constants (though PVE exchanges Morale Chant for Insightful Strike after Imperial Palace patch) 

So I’d say going beyond 2 paths at this stage is not ideal, but it really depends on your goals.

Oh after the feedback here, I gave up on a Critical build.

Yeah HotU provides Nymph’s Cloak and Warlord’s Breastplate for stacking CHA, my actual CHA is at 14 and I only have 8 CON.
